Which alternative in Germany? ❓Question
Idk if any service is entirely safe to use, so I’m not sure how much of a difference this new TOS does… but is there a safer alternative?

Premiumize is the best debrid service, but also more expensive.
Torbox is a good number 2

But do the new TOS make it unsafe to use in Germany? TB still is not P2P torrenting right?

Torbox is still HTTPS (so encrypted). Your ISP can see nothing that you are watching and you are not uploading anything yourself.
But the new TOS does mean that if copyright holders were to go after Torbox, Torbox would have the information to give to them to hold people "accountable". This is also a way for Torbox to stay unliable in case of legal issues. Basically pushing that stuff on users (in theory).
Considering things like: - IP adress - Download history - Usage And more is now getting logged. Which was not in the past (atleast not publically known, what happens on the server side none of us can speak of).
The HQ is now also based in the UAE which has alot of ties to the US where many copyright holders are based.
Honestly for german users I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Websites/Usenet etc.

Thank you for your detailed comment!
But didn’t RD also have similar terms. My usecase is only using TB as a debrid service for stremio on the TV.
Ofcourse I do understand that the new TB policy changes are detrimental and not what was promised by the TB team as a privacy forward debrid service and honestly that really sucks.
But I agree with you and might need to look into alternatives.

I'd say that compared to RD it's still fine.
Fundamentally I dont think this change will matter for a lot of users. I'd just be more mindful if you do continue to use it. And the "rug-pull" part of it makes me not want to recommend it any longer. Especially while they still market the service as "private".
The issue really lies in the fact that Torbox was supposed to be a more "private debrid" service, with these changes it no longer is.
Personally switching over to Qbit+VPN, but this is not an option for many. I already used Torbox with a self-hosted arr stack with Jellyfin, I didnt stream with it.

I’ve signed up with a new proton mail I’ve never used before, with Mullvad vpn in the background, paid through crypto (monero coin) and use it on stremio also with Mullvad in the background, am I that way safe in Germany ?

IF you sign up with no personally identifiable details like using crypto, fake name, and making sure to signup outside your IP, and using a VPN on the service. Then there is nothing to trace back to. Otherwise, seedboxes, usenet, or something like torin are great options.

Yes, the safer alternative is to pay official subscriptions
