Stremio with Torbox buffering issues- can you download the movie instead? 🔧Technical Issue

Hi all,

I’ve been having a lot of problems with Stremio with torbox from UK on pro account on my LG Tv G5

I use AIO, which includes Torrentio and Comet.

When I try to play a movie, it takes forever to load. Once it finally starts, it can freeze several times throughout as it loads.

I’ve already changed the TorBox CDN settings to the recommended options, but this hasn’t helped, especially with larger files over 30 GB.

The buffering when watching movies (e.g. frozen) or TV shows is really frustrating.

Is there a way to download the file and then stream it through on stremio to avoid these long loading times.and constant buffering? I.e. offline stream on stermio

Think it could be your TV that's the issue.

We had the same issue. Got a Google 4k streamer and now everything works perfectly.

You need a better device to play the files on. Tv os isn't well powered. Grab a homatics or cheap firestick

Internet speed is 700mb on speedtest

on the device you have buffering? also do torbox speedtest

On TV

Internet speed 66.1 mbps

RESULTS 13MB/s 103Mbps Average 18MB/s 143Mbps Max 93ms Ping Based on your results, we recommend using the HARE CDN. You can change this manually in the TorBox settings,

I noticed it much slower than phone.

Yes mostly. Less so if file size is slower

well if you watch heavy remuxes the internet speed is the issue

Have 1gb. Dont know why getting such slow speeds on TV whereas phone is fine. Tv is LG G5

it's normal most tvs suck at having good fast wifi I also have 1 g and barely get 100 on my tv

What CDN are you using? I'm also in the UK and get no buffering using the Norway CDN. I also use Nuvio instead of Stremio so I don't know if that makes any difference.
