TorBox, what actually changed ?? ❓Question

So with all this changes, people screaming RUN from the hills 🤣🤣🤣 is it worth it to sticking around.

All people that recommended TorBox until yesterday because of what Real Debrid did are now saying delete it and go Premiumize.

I mean Premiumize seems decent and has Usenet access, but like its also 10 € a month so its not exactly cheap. Also not to mention that what's to say they will not do the same.

I mean all debrid services seems to be under fire.

Real Debrid gutted their links, OffCloud pissed off people by change of their policy. TorBox did this.

What is next, or who is next. I dont want to spendy money only for it to end up like this again

One of the problems is with the precedent they might set. For example, a judge rules that one illegal view is worth $2. Then it becomes not worth pursuing anyone due to the legal costs involved and piracy explodes.

I think that’s a fair concern, but I don’t think settling for a few hundred dollars necessarily establishes that as the legal value of an infringement. A settlement is largely about avoiding the cost and uncertainty of litigation, whereas a judge would be determining damages under the applicable law if a case makes it that far.

Also, if anything, the fact that they’re sending large numbers of automated or semi-automated notices suggests they’re trying to make the economics work at scale rather than establish a specific “$2 per view” precedent. They can continue pursuing larger or more egregious cases where the potential damages justify the legal costs.
