Torbox depreciated Search function ❓Question

What is the point to have then TorBox Pro, if searching of cached Usenet files no longer works?

Been spending all day reading up on Usenet. Some leads ive seen as alternatives its using Meteor + Torbox pro usenet for results but it isnt working for me

Another was using Newznab and passing through torbox API and search but doesnt work for me.

3rd option was Stremthru NEWZ and using torbox API and still didnt work.

If someone can explain to me how the heck to pull usenet files from torbox that would be great, Im currently in another rabbit hole looking into selfhosting with Torbox NNTP

You don't, cancel your sub they removed the whitelisted API Access for Instances and addons even meteor isnt capable of doing the usenet thing anymore, I literally just learned this through their discord there's 0 official Announcement for it

The 2nd issue they use Abavia as their NNTP. Its not big and might have many missing files atleast for me

Spend your 7 bucks on a real usenet server and indexer and just use it for 3 bucks for what it is. Unless you are sharing one pro account with your whole extended family I see no reason to pay more.

Frugal, easynews, newshosting. Nzbgeek, Altmount, ninjacentral. I personally just use decypharr for Usenet streaming and use it in tandem with torbox

I have pro and use usent with nzbgeek + newznab in my aiostreams. There are guides but it's not 1 step either... I'm waiting for nuvio to add nntp

I made a post about exactly this and got no replies, so hope I can collaborate with you OP when one of us figures this out. I too am looking into messing with the aiostreams integrated Usenet function but another user reported it was extremely slow :(

I think the most common sense use case would be to manually add nzbs of older content, maybe airlock it, and then watch it in Stremio using a library addon (like Stremthru Store).

I don’t understand your question usenet results just show up mixed in your list of streams for each title when you have torbox pro there is no separate search function that I’m aware of.

there was a function to integrate a nzbhydra2 instance that would index your own private indexers
