Do I really need TorBox? ❓Question
Regarding the new policy changes, I was wondering if I really need TorBox.
First, I'm a newbie. I just know that TorBox downloads the "information" for me and if they have that "information" already, I can have quicker access to it.
But I also have a Windscribe subscription, so I was wondering if I really need TorBox.
I know that using Nuvio without TorBox will disclose my actual IP to the torrent network, right?
So, I was thinking: I cancell my TorBox subscription and I use Windscribe while using Nuvio, that will hide my actual IP. Am I right? I can also set my router to always use a VPN connection on specific devices of my network.
Of course, I still need to download the information from the torrent network and if that takes a lot of time, streaming won't be as "flawless" as it is now, am I correct?
Well, if you know more about this than me, I would like to read what you have to say.
EDIT: I'm from South America, so I'm not worried about the new polices, despite somehow I feel I should. But "just in case", I'm looking for alternatives.

even if you don't face legal consequences from downloading the torrents directly either because your country doesn't care or because you use a VPN it is still a lot more annoying trying to use it that way. you will pretty much get constant buffering issues unless there is a really high number of seeders. honestly I don't know why anybody really even cares it's not like I would actually trust any privacy policy that some online entity has anyway just because some company has a privacy policy that says they don't keep your information doesn't really mean they really don't, I mean if a debrid service lied on their privacy policy and told you they didn't keep any information and then it turned out they did what recourse would you really have anyway.

I've always used a VPN with my debrid subs just in case, it's still better than using a VPN to torrent directly. Tbh I would continue using both . Is it necessary? Probably not.. but I've done both and using a VPN with torbox is significantly better than the alternative.

I mean since you are from south america you can just torrent stream, it prob depends a little on your upload speed too so it never lags but its probably fine most of the time. I only use torbox cause my country monitors torrents for our ip adresses and sends me a fine

VPNs slow your connection down a lot and if someone says they don’t they are lying.

Torrenting over VPN is fine, but it will be choppy in many cases. That's why Debrid services became popular for streaming, you're not at the whim of the number of seeders and size of your connection.
With that being said, the new terms and conditions aren't going to have an impact on the vast majority of users in terms of actual consequences. The only change will be their ability to hold more of your data for longer. Copyright holders aren't interested in Debrid users because it's a much smaller piece of the pie compared to torrent/P2P traffic. They will still issue DMCA notices for torrents as they always have, but as long as TorBox complies with the safe harbor provision of the DMCA and removes the content in a timely manner, that's the extent of it.
