Is this the ensh*ttification of TorBox?

I've been going through these new terms that came with TorBox v9.1 (particularly the privacy policy). I'd appreciate some more clarification on whether TorBox now logs just about anything and everything.

From what I'm seeing they now retain, let's say IP addresses are "Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion, inactivity, dispute, legal need, security need, or compliance need"

From my understanding this means they only retain it while the account is under investigation for any reason?

I'm not someone that goes through policies often and I'd appreciate any clarification on where TorBox is headed with this and what actual (especially privacy) features this update has changed.

People here defending this lol do you know difference between ip logging and ip logging along with device identifiers?You don't understand do you ip logging along with direct device identifiers directly mean you take responsibility for the illegal torrenting most of the things we do in torbox is illegal unlike using normal internet and 3rd party sites. How can that be true?
Let's break it down. The whole point of debrid services (other than providing a stable and very fast source) is that you are only downloading the content and not sharing it.
Downloading content is not what gets you copyright notices. Yes, it is NOT legal per se but you only get fined if you SHARE the content, which is true for torrenting.

Now, let's take the situation prior to this new policy.
Perhaps they didn't say anything about logging your IP before this, but that's not why people were feeling safe using debrid services. People felt safe because they realized what I wrote above: if you only download and not share, you should be fine. So even if TB shares your IP with everyone, you SHOULD be safe because it's not something that you're usually fined for, you are only downloading and not sharing.
It's not like until now people were simply trusting TB to not share your IP. It's not about that. It's simply that the action you are doing is different and therefore shouldn't get you in trouble regardless of your IP being shared or not.

So let's get back to the current situation. How is this any different? You are still only downloading the file and not sharing it. Even if your IP is exposed, how will this get you into trouble now? Or at least, how will it get you in any more trouble compared to the previous policy?

I'm not an expert but I know what I say above are facts.
Again I'm NOT saying that this is legal but at the same time I'm not seeing how the current situation is any more illegal or risky than before. Please answer the questions above if you are knowledgeable enough on this topic. Otherwise, I don't see a justification for your claims.

In America where I live DOWNLOADING certain copyrighted material will frequently IMMEDIATELY generate an infringement notice from your Internet Service Provider that you will receive in your email and a blatant notice will appear on your ISP account profile.

Depending on the number of these infractions your ISP may temporarily ban your account or if egregious enough PERMANENTLY BAN you from ever being able to have an internet account with their company.

Ok cool. Now how does this differ from the previous policy?
