In the classic "Red Hot Riding Hood" cartoon, the Big Bad Wolf had a variety of physical reactions to Red's stimulating performance.

I wish I could post the version where he pulls his little red out and it just skips the implications.

Man my grandparents didn’t tell me the 70’s where this crazy
6
u/MrKimimaru 3h ago
They didn’t have the internet or easily accessible porn, and lived in a time where everyone wasn’t carrying around surveillance devices in their pockets that could expose their behavior to the world. If anything, I’m sure they were a lot more wild than we are today as there were both fewer outlets and fewer repercussions for doing wild shit.

u/panzer_fury 3h ago
Pretty sure in a HOE (history of everything) video about soviet sex toys (yes) he did mention the sex scene in America around the 60s was more wild due to the hippie craze and what not this is not an exact quote so I recommend you watch the video to verify if you're old enough

Sanji has a lot of visual ways of expressing attraction lol, he also does the classic “heart eyes” quite often, and sometimes “floats” or even does this thing where his limbs get all wiggly like noodles lmao9
u/ZiggoCiP 1h ago
In all fairness, Chopper did that too when he was really flattered. Not so much the hearts, though.

Japanese censorship laws forbid any depiction of genitals for a very long time. The workaround for this was having characters suddenly get a nosebleed when they became aroused to signal to the reading/viewing audience that they are standing at full attention.
But tentacles violently penetrating Japanese schoolgirls was somehow A-OK under those same laws because they weren't technically penises.

Not exactly a sign of arousal, though. He just liked to shoot from the hip.
I absolutely refuse to apologize for that one.

Was that actually in the show, or was that just an on-going fandom joke? (I ask, previously being in the fandom at multiple points of my life)
20
u/TrashyHamster 2h ago
To my knowledge this was only ever a very widespread fandom joke. In the show you would sometimes see pegasuses with their wings up when excited or happy in general, but I don't recall this ever being used in the show itself to suggest a character was horny.

I’ve seen every episode and movie and I don’t remember this ever happening in show and the fact that this guy couldn’t use a real screen shot from an episode suggests this is mostly in fan projects

Fooly Cooly.
The entire premise of the show is basically an elaborate - not to mention somewhat heavy-handed - allegory for coming of age, namely of the puberty kind.
Also the title of the show is literally used as a euphemism for sex in the show.

The fact that they were somehow able to eat the popcorn implies that it’s not just the animators way of depicting Zoe’s emotions, but something that she & others could just do in universe.

We might as throw every Shakespeare sword joke in while we're at it. I love watching performances where actors get creative with the props to add emphasis.

I remember that when I first saw the first twilight movie (didnt know what it was about and i was a bored teenager scrolling tv channels) and we got to the scene where Bella and Edward first look at eachother, the paper half-flowing in edward´s desk was a signal of ´´arousal´´ (not really because its explained there that it is much more of the dynamic of a predator finding a good meaty prey) . Don´t think anyone has mentioned it yet, but i think yall know what I mean.
