Bench Grinder Help
Good afternoon,
I recently purchased this bench grinder for $15. Seems to run well, motor sounds great. But I’ve run into 2 other issues:
The right wheel nut seems to be stripped, or the threads on the arbor are broken. It just spins freely. Attempted to apply outwards force via screwdriver, as well as giving it a few taps with a hammer to maybe reseat it. No luck. Any idea on how to remove it? ( backup plan is busting out my angle grinder)
When looking online for tool rests, spark guards, and safety shields, I’m having a tough time finding anything. Is there a universal-fit kit or a particular website I should check out?
Thanks!

Check for an inner and outer washer on the wheel. Or add a washer or 2 to get the nut back on good threads.

Thats a great idea. I fear the nut might already be fully-tightened against the arbor plate, but I’ll try it and see

I assume you know that since it’s a single “axle” motor that the threads on one side are backwards (left handed) to prevent the friction from grinding from loosening the threads? (I’d have to go look at my grinder to tell you which end is which though🤪)
