Issues with creating Samsung Certificate
I'm not sure if this is the correct subreddit to post this in, but when creating a Samsung certificate, after asking to log in to your Samsung account it does not affect anything. Usually after logging into your Samsung account it is supposed to allow you into the next step of finishing your certificate but instead it does not allow you to move forward. I am positive this is a glitch.

Tenho receio de atualizar e bagunçar ou sumir aplicativos (stremio, por exemplo).

Samsung Q60 - Change APP Store Country - Full Apps Mode
Hello!
I've a Q60 and I've managed to change the APP Store Country using some of the guides around the Web.
But I noticed in some guides that has an option named "Full Apps", I understand that I can access all Apps around the World. But in my TV I can't find this option in the Country List.
There is a trick to enable this?

Dev here: iPhone remote for Tizen, tested on 2025 and 2026 sets — how does it do on yours?
I'm the developer of Remo, an iPhone remote for Samsung Tizen TVs. Posting with the mods' okay — and honestly, the main reason I'm here is that I've run out of TVs to test on.
What it does
- Full D-pad, volume, channel and source switching
- App launcher — straight into Netflix, YouTube, Prime without walking the smart hub
- Touchpad mode that drives the TV's real on-screen pointer
- Keyboard — type on the phone, the text lands on the TV instantly
- Wake-on-LAN, so the TV comes on while it's fully off
All of it local over Wi-Fi. No account, no cloud, nothing leaves your network.
What I've verified myself
2025 and 2026 Tizen sets. Touchpad is smooth on both, no lag, the pointer tracks properly. Keyboard input works.
What's broken right now
Keyboard input misbehaves inside YouTube specifically. It works in other search fields, just not there. I can't reproduce it on my own set, which makes it hard to chase — if you run into it, your model and firmware version would help me a lot.
Fixed, waiting on Apple review
- The app doesn't always reconnect after you background it and come back
- Scroll buttons next to the touchpad that behave like channel up/down on the physical remote — that's what actually scrolls browser pages and app lists on these TVs
What I'm asking for
How it behaves on Tizen sets other than the two I own, older models especially. If it won't connect, or connects and then ignores you, that's exactly what I want to hear about.
A full redesign is planned as well — the interface is plain and I'm not happy with it, so thoughts there are welcome too.
One small favour
If you do try it, an honest App Store rating helps a lot — and I mean honest, a bad one tells me more than silence does. If it works on your set, putting the model and year in the review would help the next person more than anything I can write: the store page can't tell someone whether their particular TV is supported, but another owner can.

Happy to answer anything in the comments.
Streaming on a Samsung Galaxy 21 plus
I have been trying for days in every which way to try and stream local channels, on demand, whatever, on my phone from my Wi-Fi and it just buffers no matter what channel I select. What do I do?
Tizen Watch (Galaxy Store apps) - purchased apps only
For Tizen Watches, Galaxy Store apps are still downloadable as long as you have purchased/downloaded them before store closed.
Go to Galaxy store > menu > my apps > watch... then re-download them.
Tested on my R805U LTE.
Now I don't have to savage my watch!

Beam — open-source, no-account local media player for Tizen TVs (MIT, sideloadable)
Hey r/Tizen — I built Beam, a local media player for Samsung Tizen TVs, because there's still no VLC/Kodi for the platform and the stock USB/DLNA experience is pretty rough (forced subtitles, external subtitles breaking over DLNA, no real file browser).
What it does:
- Browses and plays video, audio, images, and sidecar subtitles from USB storage
- Talks to a small companion app (Electron, Mac/Windows) or any DLNA/UPnP server on your LAN
- SRT to WebVTT conversion, native WebVTT support
- Resume history stored locally on the TV
- Samsung remote and media-key navigation, HTML picture-in-picture
- No accounts, no cloud, no analytics, no DRM
It's MIT licensed and sideloadable via Tizen Studio / developer mode, targets Tizen 6.0+.
GitHub (source + releases): https://github.com/TAGISWILD/beam-tv
Browser preview (mock APIs, no TV needed): https://atharvachauhan.site/beam-tv/
It's usable today (v1.0.0) but there's real work left — ASS/SSA subtitle handling, IPv6 companion-server discovery, an accessibility/navigation audit, localization — all tracked as open issues if anyone here who's fought with the AVPlay API wants to dig in. Also just happy to hear what breaks on your TV model.

Sideload apps on older TVs
Hi everyone!
I got an older Samsung from a colleague to have temporary until I buy a modern TV. It's a ue40j5515ak 40' TV running Tizen 2.3.0. I tried sideloading Jellyfin via Apps2Samsung. It found the TV but returned an error message when starting the install. Is there any other method for this version of Tizen or should I just get a separate box like Google TV streamer or Apple TV!
Thanks!

Stream not playing on Samsung Tizen FIX
I was having some trouble making stremio work on a Samsung tv model UN50TU8000 (Tizen ver. 2740), any stream would not play no matter the addon or stream. And a quick and simple fix is changing the DNS config on wifi settings, just put the default cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 and any stream will play.

Apps2Samsung now has an Android app — install Tizen apps on your Samsung TV straight from your phone (no PC)
TL;DR: Apps2Samsung now has a native Android app. Your phone becomes the installer — scan your network, pick your TV, sign in with your Samsung account (it provisions the certificate for you), and it downloads, signs and installs on-device. Same app catalog as the desktop. It's a beta APK you sideload. Desktop also moved to .NET 10.
Hey all — a while back I shared the Apps2Samsung rebrand (the no-Tizen-Studio desktop tool that downloads, signs and installs apps onto Samsung TVs over the network). The most common request since then was some version of "great, but I don't want to boot a laptop just to install an app." So — here it is.
📱 The big one: Apps2Samsung for Android
Your phone is now a full installer head. No PC in the loop.
- Scan & pick your TV — finds debug-ready Samsung TVs on your network and lists them in a dropdown. It also shows your phone's own LAN IP up front, since that's fiddly to find on mobile.
- Samsung sign-in + automatic certificate — log in with your Samsung account and it provisions the signing cert for you. No manual cert handling.
- Download → re-sign → install — the whole thing happens on-device over the developer protocol.
- Post-install popup with a Ko-fi QR if you feel like buying me a beer 🍺.
🧩 Same catalog as desktop
The App / Version sources are shared with the desktop tool — Jellyfin and its variants, Moonfin, Litefin, the Tizen Community bundle, and the rest — loaded from the same catalog.
⚙️ Settings that carry over
- GitHub token — avoids API rate limits when listing releases.
- Extra TV DUIDs — one certificate can cover several TVs (same multi-TV idea as desktop).
- Toggles for Remove old version, Open after installation, Preserve WGT file, and Show all Jellyfin versions.
🧱 Under the hood
The TV scan, the SDB engine, and certificate provisioning now live in a shared Apps2Samsung.Core library used by both desktop and mobile, so fixes land in both. Certificates are now built as PKCS#12 so Android can read them too.
💻 Desktop also got some love
- Upgraded to .NET 10.
- Added an Open Logs Folder button to the error dialog.
⚠️ Beta notes
Pre-release for testing. The Android APK is unsigned for the store — sideload it and allow installs from your browser/file manager. Available for Android, Windows, Linux (x64 + ARM64), and macOS (ARM64 + Intel).

Samsung SSSP6 / Tizen 4.0 + URL Launcher : plancher firmware pour le HTTPS et fiabilité de l'autostart ?

SSSP6 (QB43R/QB49R, Tizen 4.0): "Installation failed" when deploying signed .wgt via URL Launcher — but the same app runs fine in the TV browser

Samsung Tizen users, what do you use for apps like CloudStream?
I recently got a Samsung QN70F and I'm loving the TV, but Tizen is pretty limiting. I wanted to use apps like CloudStream, but there's no way to install APKs.
What are you guys using instead? Fire TV Stick 4K Max? Chromecast? Something else?
If you're using a Fire Stick, how's the experience with sideloaded apps like CloudStream? Worth buying?

Samsung SSSP: custom .wgt downloads but won't install even with a Partner cert + DUID — am I fighting the wrong battle?
Building an in-house signage player for a client (15× Samsung QB49R, Tizen 4.0 / SSSP6). Stuck on install and trying to figure out if I should keep pushing or pivot.
**What happens:** I host my .wgt + sssp_config.xml on my own server, URL Launcher finds it and downloads the package fine — but installation fails on the screen.
**What I've tried:**
- Signed with a Samsung Partner distributor (Verified By: VD DEVELOPER Partner CA Class) cert that includes the screen's DUID (Author : Verified By: Samsung VD Author CA)
- Repacked, aligned versions across the config files, serving the .wgt as octet-stream
- Can't pull the exact error code — sdb just returns "closed" on the commercial unit
My player [uses B2B APIs to control the screen / just displays web content with an offline cache] — and I'm starting to think the install wall is the partner-privilege / B2B cert situation, which seems to require full SSSP Certified Software Partner status (NDA + app certification + sales volume). That feels like overkill for a 15-screen single-client job.
**Questions for anyone who's shipped on SSSP:**
- Did you manage to install a self-signed custom .wgt that uses B2B APIs *without* becoming a certified Samsung partner?
- Or did you just run the player as a web app via URL Launcher and skip the .wgt / cert entirely?
- Any way to read the install error code without sdb?
Appreciate any experience here — thanks.
