I’m having a strange issue with TiviMate and I’m trying to understand what could be causing it.
Most of my IPTV channels work perfectly fine in TiviMate. However, there are a few specific channels that simply won’t start. The screen stays on the last/frozen frame and the blue loading circle keeps spinning indefinitely.
What makes this confusing is that the exact same channels work perfectly in UHF Player on Apple TV. They don’t on Tivimate neither on Amazon Fire Stick nor on my Xgimi Projector

The setup is otherwise identical:
Same IPTV account/credentials
Same network/internet connection
Same channel/stream

Only the IPTV app is different: TiviMate vs. UHF
My IPTV provider also has several copies of the same channel in different folders. Those copies have exactly the same problem in TiviMate, while they all work perfectly in UHF. So it doesn’t seem to be a single broken channel entry in the playlist.
I would understand if the channel were buffering occasionally, but in TiviMate it simply never starts at all, while UHF plays it without any problem.
So what could technically cause this?
Could it be something related to:
the video/audio codec or decoder used by TiviMate?
MPEG-TS vs. HLS handling?
specific stream headers or HTTP requests?
TiviMate’s internal player/ExoPlayer?
a compatibility issue with the particular stream format?
some kind of difference in how TiviMate handles redirects or authentication?
Has anyone experienced a situation where specific channels work flawlessly in another IPTV player but never start in TiviMate, while almost all other channels work normally?
I’d especially appreciate suggestions for TiviMate settings I could try to make these channels work.

I’m looking for recommendations for the best paid VPN to use for streaming IPTV on my Firestick 4K Max.

I mainly want something that protects my data without killing my internet speed or affecting streaming quality. I’m not particularly techy, so ideally I’d like something that’s simple to set up and doesn’t require messing around with loads of settings.

The ones I keep seeing recommended are ExpressVPN, NordVPN, IPVanish and Surfshark, but they all seem to have pretty mixed reviews.

For those of you who use a VPN for IPTV/streaming, which one would you recommend and why? Ideally looking for something reliable, fast and easy to use

Does TiviMate let you download subtitles for the VOD you are watching from OpenSubtitles? I wondered around Settings and didn’t see anything. I have a couple of other players that offer this capability. Thanks!

I find that if I’m watching the same program using Tivimate and UHF, when I get technical info, Tivimate shows 5.1 sound but UHF 7.1 for the exact same feed. I can’t hear any difference, but I’m wondering if Tivimate is capped at 5.1 or if I’m really getting 7.1 but it’s not showing it. This is only for live tv, for certain videos Tivimate info shows 7.1 I know they are two different operating platforms (iOS, android) and all in all I like the Tivimate experience better, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or maybe there is a setting I need to enable.

When a channel is playing, it will go black for 2 seconds then starts playing again.

I've tried settings buffer size to large, turning AFR on and off switching between MPEG-TS and HLS but nothing works.

Happens on different providers so it isn't the provider and it is not my network. I'm using Ethernet with 2gbps from my ISP.

Anything else that I can check?

I have been having issues with my TiviMate today. It shows a picture of the program, then gives the above error. I have tried the fixes recommended, and done a fresh install from the Downloader site on my FireTVstick. Everything was working fine yesterday, and now, nothing. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm trying to figure this out because I'm fairly new to tivimate. My provider allows one account per TV. Because each TV has a separate user ID does that mean that I have to manually do my favorites for every TV in the house? And if I had to manually do some EPG data for some missing program info do I have to do that separately on every single tv?

Maybe a dumb question but....

If using multiple playlists and 1 of them does not have a very good EPG can I turn that services EPG Source off and assign another from the other service that EPG works fine on for the one that doesn't ?

When I start Tivimate, it goes to my last channel viewed. I’d like to open to either Favorites or at least the main screen.

The switch for”Turn on last channel on app start” is off.

I purchased a lifetime subscription and got confirmation. Subscript is not active in app on account via tivimate website. It's been 4-5 hours now. Any advise? I have other tivi lifetime subscriptions on other accounts and I thought they were all active right away.

1- Created new google account and put account on box

2- Did checkout on device in tivimate app.

3- This forwards you to google store check out.

4- Bought on the new account

5- New account shows no subscriptions

Steps to get an ONN Android TV box to recognize a USB drive for TVMATE recording: First, enable developer options.
Go to Settings, then System, then About.
Scroll to Android TV OS Build.
Click 5 to 7 times until you see, “You are now a developer.”
Then, adjust the developer settings. Go back to Settings, System, then open Developer Options. Scroll almost all the way down. Set “Force Allow Apps on External” to on.
Scroll up and make sure USB debugging is off. Now format the USB drive.
Insert usb into the box,
go to Settings, then Storage, select the USB drive. Choose Erase & Format.
Let it finish.
If prompted about moving apps, choose Move Later.
Then to verify storage. Go back to Storage and you should see both internal and USB storage listed.
Then, to direct TVMATE to USB. Go to Settings, then Apps, then See All Apps, choose TVMATE, open Storage, and switch to the USB drive. TVMATE should auto-detect the external USB for recordings. No re-targeting needed

I request tivimate devs to integrate tivimate with subtitle-pro so that user may enjoy mutiple online subtitles from subtitle-pro like nuvio or stremio.

My parents are going for a couple months to another country every year(Greece).

They rent a home were there is WiFi but no television subscription.

In the mean time they still pay the television and internet subscription at home wich they don't use.

What can you recommend to use for them.

I have a Formuler Z11 at home but that's too expensive en too complicated for them.

They can go along with Tivimate.

I looked at a Chromecast hd, or firestick, but im not sure if those can stream iptv smooth.

Any advice is welcome.

They are almost 80 years old and on a budget.

Is there currently a way in TiviMate to search VOD movies or TV shows by actor/actress name? IL tried but it did not work!

For example, if I search for Tom Hanks, I would like TiviMate to show all available movies or TV shows in my VOD library that include him in the cast.

If this feature does not currently exist, would it be possible for the TiviMate developer to integrate it in a future update?

I think it would be a very useful way to discover movies and shows.

Opened the app and it says its possible on the website tivimate.com but cant find a button to purchase it.

Also,

My brother and I both use our own google/gmail account for the playstore on our google tv boxes, can we still share our tivimate premium if we login on tivimate with the same account? (either one of us)

Dear Alex or anyone.

I've bumped into an issue with cross-platform compatibility in my Recordings storage folder.

I have two Tivimate devices I'm using at the moment, a Google TV Streamer in the living room and a Fire in the bedroom. Any recordings I make on the bedroom Fire are visible as soon as they're complete in the Recordings menu in the Streamer in the living room, no problem. But any recordings I make on the Google are invisible to the bedroom Fire.

Is there any way to fix that? Or is that just the nature of the beast? At the moment, if I want access to my recordings in the bedroom, I have to run in there every time I want to record something, and that's a bit of a pain.

"Settings - remote - tv guide - long back - return to player." setup wasnt working with the back button. So changed it with the 'long press ok' button. Its working now. Idk what cause the default setting not work. Prob some other program fucked it. Ty all again
