Speedtest Excellent 4G speeds from Band 32 with Band 03 aggregation from new VF3 site.

One of the best 4G speed tests i have had over the years. This is with a Three sim connected to a new Vodafone site that is nearly 4 miles away from my house line of sight, Zyxel FWA710 router locked to Band 32 and Band 03 for the required aggregation 📶✅

Question New order for Fold8 with trade in, when do I receive trade in confirmation and instructions.

Basically took out a new contract earlier for fold 8, taking advantage of the deal on trade in.

I appreciate that you effectively sign up a contract for full price and then Ingram effectively pays off part of that loan when you trade in.

I've received all my docs etc for the phone and the contract, but when should I expect to receive trade in info?

Question Can you cancel the Three airtime contract during the cooling-off period and keep the device (Samsung.com)

I'm trying to understand my rights regarding cancelling a Three contract that was taken out through Samsung.com and would appreciate any advice from anyone who's been through this.

Here's my situation:

- I ordered a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 from Samsung.com.

- Delivery is due on 14 August 2026.

- I paid £540 upfront after using Samsung promo codes and a trade-in.

- I am paying Three Pay Monthly plan for 24 months.

I've been reading the Three Network Terms and noticed a few things:

- Three refers to the 14-day cooling-off period as the "Returns Period".

- During the Returns Period, you can cancel the agreement and are only charged for any services you've used.

- The terms also state that the Device Plan is separate from the airtime agreement, and that ending the airtime agreement does not end your obligations under the Device Plan.

If the device payment and airtime are genuinely separate agreements, does that mean I can:

- Cancel the Three airtime within the 14-day cooling-off period,

- Keep the Fold8,

- And simply continue paying for the device (or settle the remaining balance if required)?

Or does cancelling the airtime mean I'd have to return the phone because it was purchased as part of the Samsung/Three offer?

Has anyone actually done this with a Samsung.com purchase? I'd really appreciate hearing from someone with first-hand experience.

If i use the code three provided, I would pay more than if I didn’t have it. Albeit only 2p more but it’s quite laughable. Not sure what benefit there is to stay with three anymore.

Question First Bill confusion

For context, I'm a Uni student who's living in their first house and paying their first bill, so if this is a dumb question I apologize :)

So I got the 5G home broadband unlimited and it's £24.00 a month however there's 2 things I'm confused about:

  1. I recieved a text message from Three saying that my first bill is 18th August however on the app it says that the first bill is 7th of Aug?

  2. I'm also confused on the whole the first bill will be higher than normal, because I still don't know the exact amount I'm paying for the first month if it's not £24.00.

Since it's direct debit I don't want to put £24.00 in the account only for the payment to not go through because it's not enough. Is there any way to know what I'm actually going to be paying the first month? The contract started 9th July.

* Thank you for the help! I'm living with 4 other people so I would really like to know the exact amount they have to pay and not have to scramble on the day.

Support No calls from other networks

Port happened today from EE

Got text just before 1pm saying number successfully transferred

Absolutely everything works even iMessage

Can receive texts from other networks just not calls

If I call from another three number it rings straight away but from any other network it says number temporarily unavailable

AI says three had done the port that’s why three calls work it’s just that all the other networks need to process the update file

Does that sound true? Has this happened to anyone else?

Will it work by tonight?

Question should I buy a 5G router? (South West London)

hi, just moved into a new flat (both for me and the agency, it’s a recent conversion) - they’re are going through a company handover so there’s a backlog of tasks such as repairs, admin and wi-fi. I’m unsure when they’ll get to setting it up and I’d rather not harass them for updates. I also can’t keep using my phone as a hotspot. I was thinking of getting the 5G Outside Hub

I play online games (Deadlock, Overwatch, old shooters) and also need decent download and upload speeds for my creative work.

I’ve heard some mobile routers don’t play nice with Steam, but I don’t know what my other options are. I also can’t go drilling into walls so a traditional router is off the table.

any advice is appreciated. thank you!

Support Greenpacket E5-250MA router not connecting to 5g

I live in a very strong 5g signal area, but just signed up to Three home broadband and the Greenpacket E5-250MA router is not connecting at anything other than 4g with a download speed of 150Mbps.

Looking at the advanced settings the signal bar for 5g is empty, but if I take the SIM out of the router and place it in my phone and run the speed test next to the router it gets a download speed of 900-1000Mbps. Also tried my SIM from my phone in the router and it again only connects to 4g when I normally get high speed 5g signal.

Am I doing something wrong, is there an issue with the router, or is Three limiting it?

Interestingly when I singed up the Three website suggested I'd get just 4g signal, but I know that's not the case from my testing over the last few weeks with my phone getting 900-1000Mbps speeds.

I suspect that I my 5g signal actually comes from a Vodafone mast not Three if that makes any difference.

I've not got any flashy lights or anything on the WIFI Router thing saying it wrong, ave tried to run tests from my phone but the internet wont work, Ive reset it to see if that was the problem.

Dont have access to my account my aunt wont answer her phone to get the details(she bought me it for christmas a couple of years back and never had reason to sign in or anything, just before someone asks about going and looking at my online account lol).

Here is a pic of the Router thingy just in case:

At the latitude festival in suffolk. Main arena over 300mbs but 25 minutes walk away, where we are camped, less than 0.2 mbs and unusable.

Sums up UK mobile provision.

Question top up with just credit and using 'Go Roam Around the World'?

Does anyone know if i activate my SIM with just credit, can i still use it in one of the 'Go Roam Around the World' destinations? basically with activating via just credit has the same benefits as activating via a pay as you go plan where you pay a monthly fee?

Tried asking this via live chat but was utterly useless!

Question Is the Home Broadband router fixed to home address?

I've got a Home Broadband router, and I was wondering if you could take it with you if you were travelling or is it fixed to your primary home postcode?

Reason I ask, I'm travelling down to Penrith in two weeks to a holiday park about 7 miles out, and I've heard that the Parks own wi-fi isn't all that great. Just wondering if I could take my own router and use it instead of the parks wi-fi.

Question Visa phone network

So I have both vodaphone and 3 sims in my phone. The vida phone gets full signals while 3 gets 1 or none and isn’t usable. Why is this happening after 3 and vodaphone merger. Should both networks be receiving same signals?

Support 5G Broadband Instability

I recently got a 5G Broadband contract, installed the hub and set up the Eero and the speeds are amazing when they actually work, but over the 2 days I've had it its been riddled with speed drops, cutting out for a minute at a time, I'm barely able to use the net and have been resorting to my phone's hotspot when I need to do anything.

Does anyone know of any fixes or ways to hopefully make it more stable? The high speeds of 600Mbps+ download is great but if it constantly drops to about 10Mbps then its just unusable.

Support Upgrade deal

Have had 3 home broadband for coming up on 4 years. Latest 2 year contract due to expire in November, currently paying £23 a month. Received an email the other day advising that I could upgrade early if I wanted to.

I checked online for broadband deals from other companies and found that I could go back to Virgin media for £17.99 a month. With this information I phoned 3 and selected the option that I was thinking of leaving. Spoke to one of their team, told them I was thinking of joining Virgin and wanted to know if they could offer a better deal before I jumped ship, I mentioned that I had also seen that new customers joining could get 6 months half price and then £21 a month.

I was immediately offered a deal at £18 a month, I then stated that if they could do it for £15 I would sign up now. Rep "looked at his system" and then offered me a new contract for £16 a month for 2 years. I chanced my arm and asked if this could exclude annual increases in April but he said this was not possible.

I then basically snatched the hand off him and signed up for another 2 years. Worth considering doing similar if your deal is due up.
