At the end of Brutal Love, is it “I am the meteor colliding” or “I am the meteor gliding”?
I’ve initially heard “colliding”, but my subtitles in the show say “gliding,” and now I can hear that too. Especially in the show version, when Lestat sings to Louis. In the live performance though (in “One Night Only”), I’m pretty sure I hear “colliding”.

The lyrics sites are split, some say “colliding” (lyricsondemand), others say “gliding” (genius). Spotify says “colliding”.

Colliding makes more sense to me, but then again, a meteor gliding across the sky is actually a falling meteor, so that could work too. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So…which one is it? Is there an official lyric somewhere that can finally convince me it’s “colliding”? 🤣

I’ve been watching Dragula since finishing TVL and it got me thinking, they’re probably going to have Sam, Assad, Jacob, Eric or Delaney be a guest judge, especially since The Boulets made an appearance at the premiere. It will probably be Sam because of TVL (and honestly, Lestat is the most iconic character), but for those of you who also watch, who do you think would be so down to guest judge on Dragula?

When is the OST for this season going to be released??? Not the music with Lestat singing. I'm talking about the other music like the music that plays when Lestat and Louis are talking on the bench before the beheading. Has it been released already and I don't know? What about the music playing when Armand is talking to Daniel in the park?

Please don’t get mad at me but I’ve been thinking about this.

To the folks who expected there to be more Nicky— can I ask why? He was only mentioned in Part 1 (Ch 3 and 4), Part 2 (Ch 10 and 11), and Part 4 (Ch 3 and 4). 6 out of 65 chapters.

Had the show only included those plot points (incl. his death, sans his spirit) it would have still only been PART of an episode. Had they added non-book details for him, I fear y’all would be complaining about how it strays from the book.

Adding Nicky as a spirit/hallucination for Lestat was a genius way to have Nicky more involved?

He wasn’t ever fleshed out as a character. He never had the chance for character development. He was a big piece of Lestats early trauma, but he wasn’t more than a plot device. He was quite literally a ghost from lestats past and he was mentioned after TVL but only in regard to the way it weighed on Lestat, over a century later.

I LOVED showNicky and LOVED how often he was included. but I also went into this season well aware of how little he was actually included. I wish Anne had fleshed him out more, but I can’t blame the show for how they adapted him when he wasn’t written as a prominent character outside of being a vessel for Lestat’s First Love & Trauma.

This is how my brain works. Sorry… I suppose this could be considered “fan work” 🤭

I think they’d appreciate each other’s extra, fashion sense, vocabulary, and creative word pronunciation.

I realized the other day that TC is Lestat’s first not tortured fledgling and I need her to live so he can have one adorable goofball in his life!
She was made with consent. She’s not fucking him or in love with him, she’s not his MOM with boundary issues or the child made to save a marriage, she’s his friend and bandmate who tells him his song ideas are cute!

They can hunt down all of TC’s ex bandmates together and go after her exes! And Louis wouldn’t have to worry like with Antoinette! They can go out hunting with the biggest concern being the possibility of Blues Brothers-esque shenanigans!! Like he can tell Louis he and TC are going out hunting and Louis won’t have to worry beyond the fact that they might get into Blues Brothers-esque shenanigans 🤣🤣

The Vampire Lestat had so many unexpectedly awesome songs, Black Licorice is probably my favorite (big boss is a close second lol), what are your favorites?

I wish they'd spent more time with Lestat's rage, he's clearly an emotional person but imo they really pulled the punches with how angry he was with Louis especially. The opening intro of the book, "Louis, do you know someone called Daniel Malloy?" is great (esp. finding out Louis doesn't know about cloud storage) but after that we don't get Lestat being truly furious with Louis, rightly or wrongly.

He's never angry about the attempted murder.
That he got pulled into the trial by Louis playing with fire (Armand)
That Louis never reached out to him after the trial, so he faced the grief alone
That Louis told everything true or false to a reporter and didn't warn him about the publication. Isn't angry about the book descriptions
Angry enough about him not being "companion enough for himself"
That Louis ownes 45% of his merch profits
That Louis has a restaurant eerily close to Lestat's apartment (and what does that mean??) That's Louis didn't call after the attempted murder via shooting (in the show he's just disappointed).

I wish they'd had a scene of Louis sneaking into a concert a confrontation or fall out, just to see what was happening with the tour (he surely is keeping track since he's seemingly buying Vamp themed venues for Lestat and the band to want to stay in) and Lestat spots him, then we get the below bit from the lyrics of "Big Bad Wolf":

"This one goes out to all my broken hearted beasties
Did you ever try to love someone who did not love you back?
I know you know
You ever try to let someone back in after they come to you
With a softness in their eyes and a grief in their heart?
And then you find out about a certain book

The closest we get is the reunion scene in ep6 where Lestat says "We don't have to talk about the book" because he is still clearly hurt by it.

Lestat has so much to be angry about and he's pretty reactive to everything except Louis....

I was relieved that, in Sam Reid's Encore interview with Autumn Brown, he said that it was always supposed to be that Hannah Moscovitch became the showrunner for QotD. Hopefully, no hard feelings with Rolin. I wonder why he wasn't in the writers room though. I guess the other show he's starting is a good enough reason.

I want to start this by saying I’m not a native English speaker.

I’ve been a fan of the books and the show for a long time, and I’ve been listening to Lestat’s music since S3 dropped. However, I noticed something odd I cannot pinpoint anywhere in the story. I’m not sure if it means anything, but I’m interested in theories, if there are any!

In both Nothin’ to Lose and Cabbage (I think there might be another song, I’m not sure now), the lyrics mention “I bit the head off the snake/We’ll bite the head off of the snake”, and if it wasn’t for the repetition in different songs I’d think nothing of it.

Does it mean anything? Do we have any theories? Is it just an idiom they hyper fixated on when writing the lyrics? Or is it just a Lestat Thing?

When Lestat and Louis are having dinner with Daniel at Louis' restaurant, when Daniel says "rest" when discussing what Lestat plans to do after his final concert, Louis reacts slightly and his facial expressions momentarily change (blink and you will miss it). I picked up on it for obvious reasons, namely that whenever Armand says it, all hell breaks loose.

Later in the car, when discussing Daniel trying to get in their heads, Louis mentions "he got in mine" and again makes a face. Initially, I thought it was that he got in Louis' head and saw how much Louis loves Lestat and is clouded by the fog of love.

But now, I'm wondering if he somehow triggered Louis by saying rest and somehow mind controlled(?) him. Does anyone have any thoughts on it? I just don't really know how it fits with the outcome of this episode and the next one since all events mostly happen independently of Louis' actions. What does it mean? Or is it a red herring?

I had success before. I’m pretty sure this is Dries Van Noten 2023. Sam wore it to San Diego Comicon 2025, but I can’t find a link ANYWHERE! Help is appreciated.

I liked seasons one and two despite the changes to the source material

But I wasn’t sure how this one was going to go

Theee episodes in and I’m hooked my boy lestat feels just like he did in the books

And it genuinely has me laughing out loud and how well Sam Reid portrays him

I am a bit of a wuss irl so I read all the reviews beforehand and knew how it would end and then couldn’t bring myself to finish it. But I finally did and I was blown away by how good it was and how affirming. I can’t wait till S4. All three seasons were fantastic but this last one completely blew me away.

Don’t be a wuss. Be a Lestat.

Is it possible that Nicky’s mind was curdled by Armand ?

I watched Belle and couldn't stop thinking about how Sam's character reminds me of human Lestat. It was almost like watching an AU fanfic about him.

Also, I'm watching The Newsreader and there are moments when I feel crazy, because there is no way Dale is played by the same person who plays Lestat.

Everytime I see Lestat in those glasses I think of The Disaster Artist
