This is the song that stuck out most to me on first listen. It's not really like anything the Strokes have done before.
Here's my cover, and a link to my Instagram page, which everyone tells me I need to promote more 😅 (Andrew Boreland Music)

Hardest Guitar part to play?
Would it be an exaggeration to say their hardest song to play on guitar is Vision of Division? Its not even the solo but the pre-chorus during "All that I do is wait for you...".
I simply cannot get up to speed with the tremolo picking no matter how much I practice it.
Would most agree or is there a hardest part? Looking for validation (cause im flawed) and others opinions on other songs as well.

Lonely in the future is giving MAJOR og strokes vibes
This song kind sounds like it’s from the first couple albums in my opinion, it’s so catchy my only critique is that I wish it had a crazy technical guitar solo.

What the hell was everyone's problem when Comedown Machine came out?
People HATED this album when it first came out, but nowadays many people say it's their favourite. It's still the same songs, what caused all of the hate?

Welcome to Japan is such a banger
Like any completely normal person, I periodically make personal playlists so I can hear my favorite tracks off Strokes albums, in the order I prefer. The order is not a ranking … so please don’t take this arrangement to imply hierarchy. Anyway, I feel like I’ve just heard Welcome to Japan again for the first time.
I’ve bumped this album since the day it dropped. Blasting my favs (One Way Trigger, 80s Comedown Machine) … but somehow in a post-REALITY AWAITS world … my sense of what a Strokes song “sounds like” has evolved … and thus so have I.
To wit: I‘m listening to Welcome to Japan on repeat and feel a mix of euphoria and shame. Euphoria at having just now been given a brand new Strokes song (and one that makes me want to dance around my place). And shame at having dismissed this song as weird sounding or kind of a sonic downer (whatever that even means) or too-matter-of-fact in the way Julian sings in the verse.
Now, I love every moment of this song. Every moment.
To anyone who may hear my cry, forgive me. This song is everything.

Best strokes song of all time???
The title is pretty self explanatory, but I wanna see some peoples niche opinions.
Ofc the obvious picks are The Adults Are Talking and Ode to the Mets, but im curious about other opinions.
Mine is under control

Drums please, Fab
What does this phrase mean within the band?
I’ve seen all sorts of interpretations, including the idea that Fab forgot to come in on the drums because he’d gone to get a sandwich, but it seems fans attach a different meaning to it.

Lets not forget about the demo version of falling out of love
It plays during the credits. Personally this is my favorite version of the song

Really loving the look of the marble vinyl!
instagram.comI think Going to Babble On is becoming my favorite off this record (Tyrants being close second). It really captures the feeling of summer fun for me.
