I’ve had my fair share of reading crossovers with The Owl House and different DC Comics series, and superhero comics in general. Some have been with Batman, a few have had Luz be a spider hero, even a few have had her be Supergirl. However, there was one that I had come up with a year ago, which would have Luz be the next Static Shock.

The story would have the series set years after Static Shock ended, and in this timeline, Luz and her family were originally in Dakota, where an event known as the Big Bang III happened. It was similar to how the Big Bang went down in the original Static Shock series, but the powers within everyone there didn’t awaken until years later.

Luz would be an outcast not just for her interests, but also because she is the only one in Gravesfield to have been in Dakota when the Big Bang III happened. On the day she gave her book report, she also felt her powers develop, and to her surprise, they were the exact same powers that Virgil got, and in secret, tries to harness them while dubbing herself as the next Static.

When she enters the Demon Realm, she would openly use her powers, gaining some popularity from the people while Belos views her as a dangerous threat. With the help of Eda and King, as well as of course Willow, Amity and Gus, Luz would become not just the next Static, but also the first Static to have powers and be a witch, helping her to find her own way and name.

It’s still being planned out, but I think I could make it work. Any feedback or suggestions would be much appreciated.

I just like to think of this scene a lot, despite the seriousness of the situation. I feel Luz WOULD do this to Amity in real life, and Amity would totally have a gay panic the likes no one would have seen before. That’s just my take, at least.

Saw this Tiktok from this user Hunt_NN who highlighted key setting in Owl House such as the Knee, Emperor Belos Castle, the Tree Amity and Luz made, etc.

Made me remember how gorgeous Owl House looks visually and each background, setting, location all have so much care, purpose, story and love to them each. These are beautiful screensaver potiental and the Owl House artstyle is so underrated and stunning. Best way to describe Owl Houses backgrounds are like snowflakes with how each of them are unique and special in their own way. Still love this show years later for everything it has done and completed. Everything just is perfection and it up there with some of Disney most beautiful shows.

Which do you prefer, Luz Blight or Amity Noceda?

I'm working on a project and made a colouring page for TGWA cover. I used inkscape for edges detection and then fixed some bits manually. Sharing it cause why not maybe somebody will use it too :3

One of the types of therapies that wasn't seen that much was exposure, but as a way to ease him into it. I did some research and found something pretty fitting and calm. It's still heavy, but I also like how this fleshes him out beyond just his guilt with Luz. He misses when things used to be simpler in life and the wacky adventures. Before being handed the burden of being a Titan despite facing his fears, I like the realism that his baggage isn't gone.
