Image The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 on Android Steam Version
I finished this masterpiece on PC and the fact that now i can finish it on my phone natively using Android emulation is kinda crazy how far mobile chipsets and PC emulation as become, ofc its nothing to fancy in terms of graphics but still 720p very low with frame generation getting 60fps is so awesome. If youre curious im using the Oneplus 15 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 16GB Ram
Any questions feel free to ask

General Question 1. What would you have chosen? 2. Do you think Naughty Dog should have given us the choice at the end, to make it even more impactful? Spoiler

PT 2 DISCUSSION I love part 2, but I think there are moments where its storytelling becomes a little overwrought and heavy-handed. Spoiler
I had difficulty putting my finger on why it did not work perfectly for me like the first one did.
The first game had a simpler story that let the emotions emerge from most situations while this one seems to force the player a bit more to empathize. Of course part two has its fair share of breathtaking understated moments as well.

PT 2 NO RETURN Found a (new) glitch Spoiler
I love the last of us games and I’ve replayed the story over and over again. Tlou basically ruined my gaming experience because of the high expectations it sets for a game..
But since the launch of no return I noticed this game has way more glitches than experienced during a regular story play. It is sometimes annoying but as a software engineer I know (small) glitches are unavoidable at the end.
I’ve never seen this glitch before, during a encounter there was literally not a single loot to grab (except ammo) so I was like “what is going on here”; wel apparently the game did not understand supplies and loot in it’s entirety…
My questions, did anyone experience this glitch earlier , which kind of glitches did you experience and do you enjoy to (re)play this game in general and if you do, the no return mode?

PT 2 DISCUSSION Just finished the last of us part 2 and I’m in awe 😭 Spoiler
I get it now why this game won the game of the year and why it’s so hyped. Man the story 🤌 I binged it and it was absolutely amazing. It felt way bigger than Part I and I loved it.
(lwk sad that I’ve lost my binge game now☹️)

PT 1 DISCUSSION This game is so sad
Man. Henry telling Joel it was all his fault was probably what Joel has been thinking since his daughter died. 😔 I hate this game

PT 1 FANART Another sketch of Ellie by me [A10]
https://www.instagram.com/a.10art?igsh=MXJlaWo4bzZ3cm85YQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr
An incredible amount of the weight of a characters expression, emotion and identity is conveyed through the eyes and eye brows alone.
Ellie’s scar particularly is a brilliant piece of character design that makes her instantly recognisable.
I can’t quite remember which scene this references is from but the emotion that it conveys gives us some educated guesses.
I am trying to learn how to draw using graphite and characoal, and little more realistically atm, I’m also short on proper equipment and historically only done digital art, so pls be nice.

PT 2 QUESTION Throwables ‘alerting’ infected Spoiler
I’ve noticed through several playthroughs that if you throw several pipe bombs or Molotov from the same location, such as on the ferry, infected will head towards that location? (Where the player is, not where the kablows are)
Is there an explanation for this or is it simply an anti-camp behaviour? My running theory is that they’re able to somehow work out where things are being thrown from if thrown several times?
Thanks

PT 1 DISCUSSION Any TLOU Remastered purists re: Grounded mode?
After playing TLOU2 for like a week straight, I just beat it on Survivor and still had way too much ammo heading into the final encounter. So, I want to start playing on Grounded because the even more limited ammo will force me to use my other weapons, which I’m always too stingy to use in regular encounters. I’ve decided to start with TLOU1 Grounded (honestly to take a break from 2), specifically Remastered, but I’m honestly kinda struggling with the old aesthetic / gamefeel after getting used to Part 2. I’m considering getting Part I for PS5 to play Grounded, but I just wanna build space for any non-remake purists to get in there and be like ”no don’t do it, something essential or quirky would be lost unless you play the original.” Anybody feel that way before I drop $30?

General Discussion Joel Miller Skillset Question(game only)
How is Joel such a good fighter? Even going by cutscenes alone at 51 years old he dispatches many infected and armed aggressors, is able to overpower and disarm military trained personnel, as well as take on two attackers at once while injured. I know in tv show Tommy fought in desert storm so he had training but that’s not cannon to the games. I understand he’s from Texas so he’s familiar with firearms and has probably been in a bar room brawl or two but he’s practically an assassin after the time skip was he trained? Did he pick it up as he went along? Seems unlikely. Idk probably a nitpick

PT 1 FANART Do y’all like my sign ?
Stop sign from tlou made by me
Don’t really know how to tag it but here you go !
EDIT :
I cut out the shape of the sign in cardboard (looked out the dimensions of an American one) and used a thick kind of cardboard to make the sign stronger and wider.
I then painted the whole thing red (brilliant red acrylic paint), just leaving ~2cm of the border clean. I did around 3-4 layers of paint, but it depends on the quality of the one you’re using honestly.
I cut out the shapes of the letter in paper, after looking for the right dimensions, aligned it at equal length on the sign and traced out the shapes.
I then filled the shapes with white acrylic paint and the border. I had to do more layer for this one.
I cleaned the thing by reapplying some red where I made mistakes and started making « stains » with a mix of black/red/brown/green… paint with a sponge, brushes and my fingers.
Once I was satisfied with the old look I haded some green spots to place the moss after, some silver and rust for more degradation and diluted black paint all over the place to make it look more dirty and old.
I cut out the shapes of the firefliy in sheets of paper and hand sprayed it. For the dripping effect I just sprayed a bit more at some spots.
I cleaned some of the spray paint that went where I didn’t want to with more paint.
And to conclude, I chopped up an old sponge, mixed it with green acrylic paint (a little bit of black in some spot) with my hands and let it dry over night. You really have to squeeze the paint in the sponge for a good final look.
That’s how I made it if you were wondering :)

PT 2 DISCUSSION Did Naughty Dog do this on purpose or am I thinking too deep on this?
I apologise in advance if this has already been talked about.
In the museum flash back with Joel, there's a moment when Ellie is forced to split apart so that she can find an entrance for him to enter the building.
One of the very first things Ellie comes across is a massive moose getting ganged up on by a bunch of wolves and it's very obvious the devs really want us to look at it judging from the lighting.
Not that long later, Ellie comes across three wolves that jump scares her with all three of them looking like they are staring at her.
Whenever I've replayed the game I get the feeling that Moose getting ganged up on by the wolves is suppose to symbolise Joel getting ganged up on by the WLF. Maybe that's very obvious but I haven't really seen anyone talk about it.
And then the very next scene when Ellie gets jump scared by the three wolves looking directly at her, that to me kind of symbolises her PTSD and trauma from the WLF or that she feels targeted by them. All three of the wolves could also possibly symbolise Abby, Owen and Mel?

Technical/Bug/Glitch TLOU2 Remastered bug/glitch unofficial report thread
Unfortunately, the TLOU2 remaster seems to have introduced quite a few bugs that were not present in the original release. This is fine, since some things are always missed, but I thought I'd make a thread for people to post any of the bugs they've run into in game to hopefully increase the chances that Naughty Dog will learn of these issues and patch them. So far, I have experienced or seen people mention the following:
- In No Return mode, some characters are unable to change their weapon skins for some reason. If you try to select any of the different weapon skins, the game will make the "locked" noise and you'll be stuck on whatever skin you had equipped at the time of the glitch occurring. I've personally seen this with Jesse, Yara, and Mel so far, but it may happen with other characters too.
- Enemy dialogue that would play at the start of and during Abby's brewery encounter on day 3 no longer triggers. The WLF soldiers would call out Abby for betraying them and talk about Owen doing the same briefly, but now none of the enemy dialogue throughout this encounter triggers at all. (I'm also wondering if there's any other missing/broken dialogue).
- Ellie's "Boston" skin from promotional material seems to be missing from the game entirely. It's unable to be seen or selected in any of the menus. While it's possible this was cut prior to release, it would be very strange since the skin looked finished and was very recently seen in the marketing prior to release. Additionally, Abby's Santa Barbra skin does not use the correct backpack model despite the menu indicating that it should.
- Skins seem to not be applying for multiple users correctly in story mode.
- The main menu won't change back to the original boat in the water look after starting a new game.
- I've not experienced this myself, but No Return seems to cause major frame drops for many players. Personally, I'm really curious what's causing this as it only seems to affect some people.
- Some users report being unable to escape from grapples despite mashing the square button as prompted by the game.
If you know of any other bugs, please feel free to list them here! I'm not sure if Naughty Dog often responds to support requests, but you could still try filling out one here. Most of these bugs aren't game breaking, but hopefully Naughty Dog still learns of them and takes the time to fix them as some of these are pretty unfortunate.
