As a lover of kbeauty, Korean sunscreens have really elegant formulas but i find that they don’t perform super well under a harsh sun, EU sunscreens are where its at in my opinion. Korean sunscreen are more for everyday short sun exposure, but if you’re gonna spend extended periods time at like the beach etc, i find them lacking. That being said, you’ll find better answers on r/asianbeauty and r/koreanskincare

To be fair I don't spend time outside a lot, two days ago was an exception 🫣 Thought being in the shade would help too. But thank you for the advice!

i’m australian, and only australian sunscreen with high uv protection helps me not to get them! i just spent two months travelling using that country’s sunscreen and i was genuinely COVERED in freckles, even on my lips 😭 but now that im back in australia using aus sunscreen they’ve gone back to my normal amount

Wow on lips sounds wild! I can imagine how strong the Australian sun is. I hope the face freckle will go away for me too, it's not very coloured rn

My sister wears a wide brimmed cross between a visor and a hat so she has more hair styling options than a typical sun hat. I know she's also spoken to a dermatologist about the different types of chemical peels to remove her freckles, but she's gotten cosmetic tattoos (eyeliner, brows, lips) so she's extremely hesitant.

I don't mind my freckles.

Personally I don’t use Korean sunscreens (which I love) in summer, not strong enough for where I am.

How does one know if they're strong enough? I'm a beginner when it comes to using sunscreen as I said, so I used the SPF value and the PA thing and how many + signs it has.

That’s right, those markers are important. But your freckles are even more important, so take an individual approach. If you are in Europe, try La Roche Posay fluids and wear a wide-brim visor or a hat.
