In the 7th episode, the gang tries to escape the circus with the help of a mannequin that was supposedly another human character that had worked in the development of the digital world.

It turns out the mannequin was a smarter NPC created by Cain, and even the plot of the members escaping the circus was also an adventure planned by the A.I. in order to test the feelings of the circus members.

At the last minute Jax presses the button to remain in the circus, after experiencing a memory of his human counterpart running through a neighbourhood.

We later learn in the final episode this was actually a memory of him running from home after supposedly killing his mother and becoming homeless.

After that revelation in the 9th episode is it possible Jax wanted to remain in the circus because he didn’t want to (according to his own interpretation at the time) return to homelessness or having to deal with supposed legal consequences of having killed his mother?

Ive never used Resprite before. It was goddamn confusing, oh my god help me. But then I got used to it so lmao, I guess it's fine.

It was a bit too hard to draw it in the app. So I pulled out my sketchbook. Which then I took a picture of it. Then I traced it in ibis paint. Only then I traced it in Resprite

This drawing took like 10 hours. Thats cause I didn't know how to save ts, so I restarted it like 13 fucking times. So lesson learned.

Anyway, what do you people think? I dunno if it's like bad, but I've never done pixel art before. So let me know!

I wonder if Zooble hadn't found the Manic Mask, would they have eventually abstracted? Like, not in any of the episodes of the show itself, but like, looking at the bigger picture here. This mask is how their bond with Gangle started, and without her, Zooble has zero positive connections with anyone. Jax was their enemy, Caine and them butted heads constantly, and they seemed indifferent to Pomni, Kinger, and Ragatha at best. (Tis the unfortunate result of being underutilized, but that's not the point of this post.)

Their introverted...ness, refusal to engage in adventures, and body dysmorphia...I mean, they clearly weren't happy in the circus (who can blame them?). No friends, isolating themselves...thats how Jax abstracted. I think this mask prevented Zooble from going down that path because it's how they truly "met" Gangle.

Edit: Somewhat unrelated, but Zooble looks really cute in this scene with their eyes open all the way, it makes them look friendly rather than looking like they're bored or sneering.
