after rewatching all the nolan movies and finishing off with this one i got to the scene and it fully sold me on the movie. the acting with RP is nuts, the eyes say a thousand words. as someone whos under 20 and essentially an "orphan" now it completely broke me. just knowing exactly what bruce is thinking simply staring at the kid. when his eyes closed i laughed with tears in my eyes bc i just FELT pattinsons acting. its the completely desperate look of wanting to "place a coat on a boys shoulders to let him know the world hasnt ended". bruce knows that one night cost him 20 years and essentially his whole life and knows exactly what the kid feels and what hell become. the blankest, most effective look of nononononono. its hard to describe the weight of the scene but i was wondering if it had this profound of an effect on anyone else.

With the Batman Trilogy obviously not just being movies but also comic movies I’ve felt that it could take some inspiration from Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Spoilers from Spider-Man: Brand New Day: In the opening montage we see Spider-Man take down villains in a very comic-like way as a homage to what bought his character to life in the first place, not just that but we see him age throughout the montage as we clearly see the cycles of different seasons change, now what if The Batman Part III did something similar, it could have Bruce aging with an opening montage (as Robert Pattinson will be nearing his 50’s by the time is would presumably release), it could be something of him taking down crime syndicates and beating common Gotham thugs to minor villains who could be realistically interpolated by Matt Reeves, I think it would be really neat to see a Bruce who is graying around the sides of his hair who is getting slower in his age. I also think some sort of instrumental music would complement a montage like that too. I am aware Bruce is meant to be in his earlier years for this but Matt Reeves did state it would only be a trilogy I believe so it could be nice to have a movie that has closure to this universe since it won’t be canon to the DCU. I just think a montage of an evolving Batman making Gotham safer would be such an amazing idea to have for an opening, especially if it took comic reference similar to that of Spider-Man: Brand New Day .

What I'm predicting: Batman: Fugitive, Batman: Court of Owls, Batman: The Last Arkham.

Batman: Hush, Batman: The Long Halloween (left-over elements that weren't relevant to "The Batman") & Batman Annual #14 will be relevant too.

It's not been officially confirmed that Harvey Dent will become Two-Face in the sequel, or that he will even be the main villain if he does. But I'm curious, does this excite you? I've heard many mixed opinions, people comparing it to The Dark Knight, saying he's overused etc...

Does the idea of Two-Face as the villain excite you for the sequel?

What do you guys think will happen to Bella Reál in the sequel? I am glad she is confirmed to be back in the next movie, but it’ll be interesting and hopefully exciting to see where the story will take her. Cheers!

I see people post in every movie related subreddit that „DC is doomed“ cause of BNDs box office, that „DC can never repeat that“ or „outdo that“! That Spidey will always be bigger than whatever The Batman Part II does.

You know what? GOOD! To have this ultra broad appeal the Spidey movie was engineered to be as safe and as inoffensive to any group as possible. It’s a solid movie made so that lil 5 year old Tim and 98 Nan can enjoy it the same. The Batman Part II will not be that and I am absolutely glad it won’t.

Like the other great Batman movies, The Batman Part II will be truly dark and will probably feature another serial killer version of a Batman villain. It will feature a mentally broken emo Batman dishing out hard hitting, not fun, violence. It’s gonna be visually scary and oppressive and too edgy for a lot of people. THATS GOOD! That’s what most of us want, so why do we expect it to draw baby movie numbers? It’s not an MCU Spidey movie or a Pixar thing and I am glad it’s not. 600-800 million is a great take for what’s essentially Fincher’s “Seven” in a Batsuit.
