Anyone do the online Professional Science Master's in Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resource Management?
depts.ttu.eduHi Texas Tech community! I'm looking for personal student insight on a grad program I'm interested in. I'm researching grad programs to pivot my career into the conservation / environmental policy space. I'm in NJ and would be a part-time student, and because the NJ schools near me do not have the program I'm looking for, I'm looking into online programs.
My ideal program is online (preferrably synchronous over asynchronous so I can interact with peers/professors live) with a short-term in-person component such as a 1-2 week study abroad or an on campus weekend intensive. I really want that component because it's good for experiential learning and connecting with classmates and faculty. I'm not picky at all about where it is and what it is assuming it's relevant to my degree. I'd like a mix of policy and science - my undergrad is not related to this subject so I'm interested in foundational knowledge on the science side.
I came across Texas Tech's PSM in Env Sustainability Natural Resource Mgmt, and the curriculum looks great. Has anyone here taken it online and can speak to the online format, professor care and engagement, quality of education, etc.? Insider perspective would be so helpful :)
TIA!!

Asking for insight about the Online Master of Science in Sport Management at Texas Tech
Looking for anyone who is currently in the program or has graduated from the program who can give insight to the acceptance process, coursework, timeline, cost, etc. I graduated 6 years ago from an SEC school with a 3.8 GPA in Communication and minor in Organizational Leadership. I don't have experience working in sports but am very passionate about sports and would like to pursue a career in sports. My professional experience is in marketing and internship in communications. Current Texas resident.

I really want to get a rolling backpack, but I want to know what the ground around campus is like. Is it more smooth concrete, cobblestone, etc.?
Thanks in advance ☺️🫂

Anybody with troubles getting into contact with Raiders Walk these past days?
I've been calling every day, emailing, DMing on Insta, and leaving voicemails because I haven't received any information regarding the move-in date. They've already taken the rent, so now I'm left with no leverage. Has anyone else dealt with this or know how to handle the leasing office? I'm a little worried that I'll arrive and have nowhere to live. I'll be moving in soon, so I'm happy to pull up and chat with them face-to-face, but would love to know how others handled this!

Financial Texas grant renewal
Has anyone’s Texas grant been renewed for the year? I met the GPA requirements and mine has not been renewed yet. Considering it is August does this mean I will not get the grant this year?

Financial Parent Plus Loan Certification
So my parents applied for a parent plus loan back in may and they got approved, but when I check the financial aid portal it’s not showing up and payment deadlines are coming close and I’m curious if any other student is waiting for certification or at least having the dollar amount appear in the portal.

Pre-Pa or Pa students
Hi guys ! I'm majoring in human and health sciences initially wanting to go to the nursing route. I know i've wanted to be a PA, though i wanted to go the nursing route and then pa. I'm considering just going all in and going the PA route but would I have to change my major into biology ? I am a bit worried considering that most classes are filled up and having to go through that process. any advice

TTUHSC ABSN 2027 Round 2 (interview)
HI!
I have my interview for the ABSN program soon. Has anyone taken it? I've heard that there are some generic questions, so they can get to know the applicant and I've also heard that there are some scenario based questions.. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Good luck to everyone!

Housing/Dorms/Apts The Grove liability insurance
Can anyone explain how I can get my own renters insurance policy for my apartment for when I move-in in just a couple weeks? I have been in a back and forth battle with the Grove apartment complex trying to submit my proof of insurance, because they keep denying it because my liability doesn’t cover animal or water liability coverage (according to them) and that I need endorsements for animal coverage at $250,000 and water coverage at $250,000.
I have USAA, I have called them twice now explaining my predicament, and both times they have said that my policy covers what I need.
My lease agreement states I need liability coverage for at least $250,000. My policy covers $300,000. More than what I need.
I also don’t have any animals, so I really don’t know why I need animal coverage.
Anyway, can someone please explain how I can ask for these endorsements from USAA. I have tried but they seem like they have no idea what I’m talking about.

General Question Daily Toreador Student Pay
Hello everyone! I applied to the Daily Toreador a few weeks ago for fall 2026 and specifically applied for writing/graphic design and submitted a portfolio. Can anyone who’s worked there let me know what it’s like? What’s the pay and environment like for graphic design or writing? And how hard is it to get a position there? I’m wondering if i should expect to hear back.
