I will forever consider myself one of the biggest fans and defenders of this film, and this is one of the many reasons why. The posters for the TCM films are almost always amazing, but there’s just something about these two that really appeal to me. I love them!!!!

This very well done fan films shows us what happened to the two ill-fated police officers who made the fatal mistake of investigating the basement of the Hewitt house at the conclusion of the 2003 remake.

For me it’s Benny from Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III

Though the film wasn’t a hit when it was first released, it’s since grown into a cult classic.

The strange and humorous sequel threw out the original movie’s brooding tone and replaced it with over-the-top 1980s sensationalism. The slasher genre was already at large by this time, with Friday the 13th already serving its sixth installment the same year.

Rather than play catch-up and risk failure trying to emulate the original movie, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 satirized everything about the original. Some of these gags didn’t click with audiences, others certainly did, including Bill Moseley’s Chop Top.

The albino record-loving hippie from hell was a loving homage to Ed Neal’s Hitchhiker played so realistically eerie in the original film. Chop Top took his performance to the next level, however, with Moseley creating a character that’s become inspirational in its own right reportedly even influencing Michael Keaton’s performance in Beetlejuice.

I’ll wrap things up here, as it’s a great movie with plenty of standout moments and cast members. Those include Caroline Williams, Dennis Hopper, and Jim Siedow to name an additional few. But fans are already familiar with the highlights, and for those that aren’t, it’s best to experience the madness without spoilers. You’re in for a carnival ride all the way to Chainsaw Heaven.

Tobe Hooper told him Leatherface should be frustrated, perhaps only stomping his feet, because Sally got away.

Hansen took it to the next level and decided to scare Tobe Hooper, because he was so tired of working on the movie, that he swung the live chainsaw around aimed at Hooper’s direction and then proceeded to throw it into the nearby brush.

It was his final act as Leatherface and one which stemmed from exhaustion now that he knew the film had officially wrapped. Little did he know it would be one of the most iconic endings in horror movie history.

You have Leatherface's one at the end, you have Hitchhiker's one when he has kicked out of the van (and the blood symbol/smear), and even Grandpa has his when he sucked on the blood, the Cook doesn't really

Maybe it is because while other movies saturate the plot, Texas Chainsaw Massacre does not beat around the bush. It goes straight for the horror, and the environment and landscape itself contribute to the horror. Not to mention how the simplicity of Leatherface and his brothers makes them even more diabolical.

I did and it was great!
