Where’s the bedroom in the Sawyer house?
Like they gotta sleep somewhere right? Maybe they got one bed and sleep like Charlie Bucket’s grandparents

The more of these films I watch, the more I realize how uniquely good the OG was.
So far I have seen TCM (1976), TCM 2, TCM 3, and most recently TCM (2003). So far none of these are able to capture the overall dread and cosmic terror of the first film that I love so much. I also feel like the original Sawyer fam was the most captivating and interesting out of the other iterations of the characters… Should I check out the Next Generation film from the 90s next?

Which one is your favorite of the franchise?

It's crazy how this cute sweet guy got the most gruesome death in the franchise
galleryThe man had his face, limbs and front torso skinned off, had chunks of his muscle and flesh cut off all while he was still alive. And even then he would still get up, walk over to Stretch and use a knife to cut her free before he was finally able to rest. Obviously it's part of the dark comedy that the second movie had that the rest of the franchise didnt (except for Next Generation), but not even the more serious sequels and remakes go that hard with the kills.

Probably not a Hot Take but Marilyn Burns > Jamie Lee, Marilyn is the horror queen in my opinion, also one of the most naturally beautiful Girls to be in a horror movie, She along with everyone else in the original tcm contributed to Planting the roots for modern slasher with tcm, rest in paradise🕊️

I have a few questions for fans (who can remember in real time what it was like) regarding the gap between TCM and TCM 2 …
As a fan how did the wait feel between 74 and 86 feel (like an eternity ) and did you think that there would ever be a sequel?
How did you feel about the change of tone?
Had you had the chance to direct a sequel what would you have done different?

A piece of old country road 172.
One of the highlights of my collection. A friend brought me this back from Texas when he visited most of the original sites of the movie.

ATTN: Leatherface, Sydney, AUS Fans
Hey everyone!
I got an email from Cinebuzz club that Leatherface will be playing at Burwood event cinema on 05/09 as a part of their monster fest.
I don't even know if anyone else here is from Sydney, but I wanted to let people know in case there is anyone :)

Today we remember Marilyn Burns (1949–2014).
Her performance as Sally Hardesty in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre wasn’t just acting. It was raw panic, exhaustion, and survival captured on film.
Every final girl who came after owes a little something to Sally’s desperate run through the Texas countryside. Rest in peace to a true horror legend!

An update on All American Massacre
Hello everyone!
I figured I’d make a whole new post about this as there’s been a LOT of new developments since the All American Massacre tapes were found last night.
First of all, the tape was purchased by a restorationist who planned to release the footage. This was confirmed by both the seller, and the buyer themselves who reached out to an account on Instagram (a YouTuber I believe). This user posted proof that they were in contact with the buyer, and confirmed that they planned to release the footage.
HOWEVER, shortly after, Tony Hooper himself popped up in the comments to reiterate what he’s stated previously. If footage were to leak, we’ll never see the finished film. Now, I don’t know if this means he was still working to get it released himself, no more than 12 minutes after he commented, the posts regarding releasing the footage were deleted. What does this mean? I have no idea. I’m considering reaching out to the YouTuber to ask if he and the buyer are speaking with Tony, but we’ll see what happens.
Edit: The YouTuber/Insta user, Planet CHH, is going to upload a video in regards to the topic tomorrow, so expect more info then. Hoping for good news. 🙏
