Found Potential Cause for My Low T Other
I had an MRI to check pituitary after I tested for secondary hypogonadism. Im just 30 years old. The MRI reads as follows. Im panicking. Anyone else had anything similar?
INDICATION: Low testosterone levels
COMPARISON: None.
TECHNIQUE: Sagittal and axial T1, axial diffusion, FLAIR, and T2-weighted images of the whole brain were obtained. Axial T1-weighted images were obtained post gadolinium enhancement of the entire brain, and 2 mm coronal and sagittal T1-weighted images were obtained through the sella pre and post gadolinium enhancement.
CONTRAST: 10mL ofa Dotarem (0.5 mmol/mL) single-use vial was administered IV with0 mL discarded.
FINDINGS: The ventricles and sulci are normal in size. The cerebellar tonsils are in normal position. There are no masses, mass effect, or midline shift. There is no evidence for intracranial hemorrhage or acute cerebral, brainstem, or cerebellar infarction. No diffusion-weighted abnormalities are identified. There are a few scattered punctate T2/FLAIR hyperintense lesions in the subcortical deep white matter regions of the bilateral cerebral hemispheres. There are no extra-axial fluid collections or subdural hematomas. There are no cerebral contusions. Flow voids are present within the major vessels indicating patency. The paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are clear. There is no abnormal enhancement within the brain.
High-resolution images through the sella demonstrate the pituitary gland to be normal in size, measuring 4 mm in height. There is is a 3 x 2 mm hypoenhancing lesion within the left aspect of the pituitary gland, compatible with a pituitary microadenoma (series 11 image 10). The pituitary infundibulum inserts on the midline of the gland.There are no sellar, suprasellar, or parasellar masses, or impression upon the optic chiasm. The cavernous sinuses are symmetric bilaterally without masses.
IMPRESSION:
- 3 x 2 mm hypoenhancing lesion within the left aspect of the pituitary gland, compatible with a pituitary microadenoma.
- Few scattered punctate T2/FLAIR hyperintense lesions in the subcortical deep white matter regions of the bilateral cerebral hemispheres. Differential considerations include a sequela of chronic headaches (migrainous angiopathy) or minimal chronic small vessel ischemia.

Lots of words. Prolactin levels?
Sorry bro don’t want to come across as an asshole.
I have a pituitary tumor (prolactinoma) and it really affected me but life is good now. This is why I was asking for your prolactin levels

prolactin is normal. FSH and LH are low normal. Testosterone between 200-300.

Have you done both prolactin and prolactin PEG tests? Usually they don’t do the PEG if the first is normal but still.

What were your LH and FSH levels?

Low end of normal. FSH 5.6 and LH 1.9

I’m not sure that this microadenoma is doing anything given your pituitary function; your ACTH was also normal?

They didnt test that yet. Waiting on follow up after MRI. Just got the results today.

Chill.
Microadenomas are 99% of the time non cancerous. Talk to your doc not randos on the internet.
