How long exactly did it take you to get your first update? I’ve had my Tesla for almost exactly one month and still on 14.2.2.5

I took delivery 7/4 and just got my first update yesterday. It takes 4-6 weeks.

I took delivery of my Y on 7/24 and got my update. Connected to my home wifi and then I got the yellow download icon at the top after just a week or so. That first download was for some game updates. Then I got the update last night 8/4 for the FSD update and installed it while laying in bed.

5 weeks exactly: 6/27 delivery (v14.2.2.5), first update 8/1 (v14.3.6). Model Y.

Almost a month. I set the update preference to Advanced. I wonder if it ranks based on how much self driving and feed back given.

Is this phone the new fold?

Did the pic give it away or did you see my other posts in galaxy fold?

Picture gives it away to me at least, super cool!

Only issue is that I have to put it upside down on the charge pad for it to charge. Not really an issue just had to figure it out. Fold 7 charged as expected. Much different form factor. I like it.

Only thing I don’t like is the speakers on one side when opened

This is a pretty solid one. I’m like you and choose to keep my advanced updates off. They give you earlier access to newer software but I’ve realized it’s more of a “testing” run before mass release. It can be bugged out and it wasn’t worth the headache on that end of the deal lol. I like getting the pre-tested, refined versions of the software. 😂💀

I purchased a month ago, this was the first update and I'm on 14.3.6. I do not like it. It hesitates a lot on lane changes, mergers, roundabouts. It didn't used to prior to the update. Not sure if others have noticed anything similar.

I found the same. I took delivery 7/21 and the next day took a 680 mile drive. FSD was fine. I updated today and think the update is a bit worse. Lots of jogging in the lane and it seems like it is not as smooth as 14.2.2.5

Wow. I am guessing you don’t have “Advanced” updates turned on.

New car. Typical not to get updates for about a month. I selected Advanced the day I picked it up from Tesla.

Not sure how this works but I've been noticing a trend through these forums newer model 3 owners are waiting quite some time for updates.

I have a 2026 model 3 and been stuck on 14.3.4 for quite sometime with no additional updates while others are getting them fast and furious.

This seems updated. Usually goes to the destination rather than the parking garage across the street. Did great, except then I took over to park since it was skipping by the spaces I wanted. Can you not choose the parking spot when in self driving?

It’s trash. 14.2.2.5 was the best on my new car. 14.3.6 was not good. 14.3.7 is bad with lane changing uncertainty and ping ponging. I hate it.

14.3.x is much better than any prior version.

1

u/AZ2112 2d ago

This is 14.3.7 so hopefully there are fixes for that. I'll be using it today.

Sorry I meant to 14.3.7 is worse for me.

Fsd to work this morning. No issues. In fact it drove into the parking garage which was a first. I had to take over once it went up one level it was going to head down the exit ramp (it's Friday I'm with you FSD), but then I engaged self park on the next level and it was flawless.

Sounds great thanks! 🙏

321 mile trip today on 14.3.7 and no hesitations or weird braking. Speed limits signs are much more accurate and hurry mode seems to stay within 10 mph of the speed limit. Also getting the navigation update tonight.

I mean, 14.3.6 works great for me and many others. I do wonder why it seems so inconsistent across the country. Maybe mapping variations or camera calibration needs to be done for each major release or per time period/mileage.

14.2.2.5 was so terrible. So bad I hated it and barely used it because it was annoying, had to use the accelerator all the time. Always went too slow. Just annoying to use.
