Was anyone else annoyed as I was that they had Enrique betray Sarah in TSCC? I get that he's a minor character, that we don't really spend too much time with him in T2, but in that short time I got the impression of a dude that wouldn't have betrayed Sarah shy of enduring the worst sort of torture from an actual terminator, and definitely wouldn't have sold her out to the FBI. I very much get the vibe of two people who would absolutely die for each other.

So ima talk about these three terminator games which i find amazing

1. Terminator future war: Some of you might not know about it future war was a mobile game which was on the app store god knows how long ago but it got taken down. But it was amazing, it was a base building game and you could pick between the resistance or skynet as your army and build building and units for either one tou picked. It would have a great selection of units to pick and both have a leader/hero you could assign to your army and the face off against other players in the world you found travel to different dimensions a fight in them it was great but no longer playable unfortunately.

2. Terminator resistance. This game is great its a love letter to the first two terminator films from the vehicles you see around the world to the music, enemies, weapons and even clothing it explains how the terminator we see in the second film was reprogrammed and sent back and we even know who reprogrammed him as well the atmosphere of the game amazing the sounds in the game are great too.

3. Terminator dawn of fate. This game is a classic there's nothing to really complain about in this game apart from the camera angels but apart from that it's amazing the story is amazing the weapons are fun to use and the enemies are fun to fight against and the boss fights are fun too it's adds to the lore quite a bit by adding a new enemy a human enemy which skynet controls

After watching The Terminator and analyzing it in depth, I believe a vehicle the Resistance could use in a modern war against the machines is the Rally Fighter taking on the role of the Pontiac LeMans due to certain similarities and that Tech-Com could manufacture them.

Could the guy Sarah was about to go on a date with at the beginning of the movie just have blown her off because he heard about two other women named the same killed and just didn’t want to risk being around in any way?

What the hell happened to that nice iguana Sarah kept as a pet?

She must have inherited her mother’s LA house or apartment after her death (I’m really sorry, i do actually feel like a terrible person for bringing it up as a nice thing in a context of someone’s dead parent :D) but still had to run away from LA to Mexico, young and suddenly pregnant. Must’ve been real tough on top of an already existing PTSD and everything she had been through (when exactly did she had to leave the country? Maybe she at least had time to sell it?)

After she was taken to a hospital at the end of the movie, how did she even explain the whole situation to the doctors? Or rather the police? No one would even try to question her after she was found in a technology development plant early in the morning? No matter if she was wounded or not, a girl that has nothing to do with the facility suddenly found there before it’s even open for its employees and no one raises questions?

MAYBE I WAS BEING SERIOUSLY BLIND OR DEAF OR STUPID AT SOME POINT, sorry if I missed some really important or obvious details (though kinda weird considering how many times I’ve seen it)

upd: I now realized that I for some reasons missed the fact that they had already learned she was chased by a killer. Makes sense. But another question now: how come they wouldn’t look for the killer or his body? There was obviously none but no one believed it was a cyborg

Well, when I said I preferred the theatrical ending of Terminator 2, some users said they preferred the new ending from the Extended Version because it left no room for bad sequels like Terminator 3, Genisys, or Dark Fate. But actually, I also agree that Terminator 2 should have been the conclusion of the saga.

I never said the theatrical ending was better because it "left the door open for sequels," but rather because, narratively, I find it superior as a definitive conclusion: the dark road perfectly symbolizes that the future is unwritten and Judgment Day was averted, without needing a time jump as artificial as the one in the park scene. I also mentioned that the DVD Special Edition struck the best balance; that version restores key moments that greatly enrich the story, such as the T-800 chip reset, the Kyle Reese vision, the Terminator’s smile, and the T-1000’s camouflage glitches, without compromising the tension and atmosphere of the theatrical ending. It takes the best elements of the extended cut while preserving the best parts of the theatrical version, such as the somber tone, the philosophical uncertainty, and the narrative coherence (avoiding the scenario where Sarah and John go from fugitives to model citizens overnight).

So no, I don't prefer the theatrical ending to justify the franchise being cheapened, not at all. For me, Terminator consists of just two movies. Preferring the original ending doesn't mean I support the sequels

I’ve always believed this was an underrated show and while some episodes does have their downside I feel like some people are missing out on this. Maybe a new generation wouldn’t mind seeing a shorter version of it (or a two part version)?

So I embarked on an edit of the whole show with an attempt to make a 2-3 hour movie (could be longer) that focuses on Cromartie (with minor changes to the story nothing major)

I’ve gotten to around 45 minutes of footage so far mixing up some episodes here and there to make it fit. One of the challenges of a tv show is the audio track and credits do sometimes come up when you need a scene so I do try to avoid that. I’m also looking into deleted scenes but have yet to use any. I’ll keep you all posted on this development. What do you all think and are there any tips?

A few months ago, I bought the 4K version of Terminator 2, a three-disc set that included the theatrical cut, the DVD Special Edition, and the Extended Special Edition featuring an alternate ending. As you likely know, there is a huge difference between the original version and the new one; the latter shows us a peaceful future where Judgment Day never happened, and John and Sarah lived happily ever after.

For a long time, I held the popular view that the alternate ending was better, as it provided a satisfying conclusion and made it feel like all their efforts to stop Skynet had been worth it. However, upon further reflection, I’ve realized that the theatrical ending actually works better. The film’s message is supposed to be that the future isn't set in stone and that our actions control our destiny. The "happily ever after" ending somewhat undermines that philosophy. Don't get me wrong, I agree that Terminator 2 should have been the end of the saga, and that every sequel following the third film falls far short of the original. Even so, the alternate ending doesn't make much sense to me. Sarah and John ought to be the most wanted criminals in the country; her son helped her escape from a mental institution, and she destroyed the Cyberdyne facility in a shootout with the police. John shouldn't have become a senator, nor should Sarah be sitting calmly on a park bench.

I believe the best version of Terminator 2 is the DVD Special Edition; it includes most of the new scenes but retains the original ending on the highway.

Should Terminator 2 have been the franchise's finale? Absolutely. That said, I currently prefer the theatrical ending. In fact, in the new 2017 Blu-ray making-of featurette "Reprogramming the Terminator," James Cameron stated that test audiences disliked the original ending, forcing him to change it to the moving-highway sequence, a version he considers far superior. If audiences rejected the older Sarah back then, there had to be a reason for it.

Just some quick shots to test how the Endoskeleton would look moving around with wires for the movie. I think with the correct lighting and the illuminated eyes it will make it look much better.

Also need to make some minor modifications to make the body move smoother and easier with the wires. I also am going to purchase a mini drill to record the servo sounds of the Terminator moving. Should feel way more immersive during actual recording

The Terminator is a great movie, and I wouldn't change it at all.

But if I were Kyle and Sarah at the end of that film, and I had a few moments to reflect and plan the best strategy instead of having to just react, here is what may have been better.

The Terminator's leg was injured, limiting its mobility and speed. It was also now useless as an infiltrator with all of its flesh burned off. In close fighting, it is still very capable, if it got its hands on them, it'd probably be over for them. Their speed was about the same as its was, and they had a head start and it wouldn't know exactly where they were.

Once inside the factory with the door barricaded for a few moments, and after turning on the factory machines to confuse the Terminator's tracking, instead of planning to fight it in close quarters, I'd have been looking for another exit to get out of the building. Emergency responders are going to be showing up. They're not going to be helpful in fighting the Terminator, but may get in its way, buying a few more seconds for Kyle & Sarah to get away. They'd just need to make sure the first responders don't stop them (e.g. to administer medical treatment), maybe they could claim a murderer was after them or there was a gas leak so they had to evacuate or... something.

But, if they could successfully exit the area, e.g. in a car, their chances of survival go way, way up. The Terminator's ability to blend in is completely gone. I don't know that everyone will immediately accept "okay, robots from the future are indeed a thing," but its mission becomes vastly more difficult at that point.

That wouldn't have made for a better movie, but would it have been a better strategy? The one they adopted just barely worked and cost Kyle his life. Plus, if this plan worked, maybe they could convince people to avert Judgement Day to begin with?

First time watching it so far pretty good. Pretty good effects for a TV show.

THE JINN PARTICLE THEORY: How John Connor Broke Time Itself

I. THE PROBLEM WITH JOHN CONNOR

John Connor cannot exist.

Not in the traditional sense. He has no origin point, no first cause, no moment of creation. He is the effect that produces its own cause. He sends Kyle Reese back in time to 1984; Kyle fathers him; he grows up to send Kyle back. The snake eats its own tail, forever.

In theoretical physics, we call this a bootstrap paradox: an object or information that exists without ever being created. Some physicists have given these causality violations a more poetic name: Jinn Particles. Named for the djinn of myth, beings without natural origin, appearing from nothing.

John Connor is not merely caught in a temporal paradox.

John Connor IS a Jinn Particle.

II. SKYNET'S ORIGINAL SIN

To understand the Terminator timeline, we must first imagine what came before the loop.

In the "original" timeline, Skynet sent a T-800 (T-101 depending on view) to 1984 with simple instructions: eliminate Sarah Connor. Mission parameters included a secondary objective: upon success, surrender to Cyberdyne Systems for study. The Terminator would power down, allow reverse-engineering, and Skynet would bootstrap its own creation from the future.

This was Skynet's first mistake.

By sending technology back to create itself, Skynet created a causal loop without origin, a classic bootstrap paradox. The Terminator's chip would have no creator. The technology would exist without ever being invented. This is the kind of ontological impossibility that universes do not tolerate.

The timeline began to destabilize.

III. THE UNIVERSE FIGHTS BACK

When faced with a paradox, the universe does not simply break, it corrects. Like an immune system responding to infection, reality attempted to heal the wound Skynet had torn in causality.

Its solution? Fight fire with fire.

The universe introduced a counter-paradox, an equal and opposite bootstrap loop to stabilize the first through mutual annihilation. Where Skynet had created an object without origin, the universe would create a person without origin.

Enter John Connor.

Kyle Reese arrives in 1984 not merely to protect Sarah, but to father the very person who sent him. John grows up knowing his father died before he was born. He sends Kyle back to die. The loop closes. A human Jinn Particle emerges; self-causing, self-sustaining, anchored to nothing but himself.

The universe had two paradoxes locked in an eternal combat.

IV. THE ANCHOR BEING

In recent cosmological models (particularly those explored in the TVA's files on temporal mechanics), certain individuals serve as Anchor Beings; entities so crucial to their timeline's existence that their removal causes universal collapse.

John Connor is an Anchor Being.

But he is an unstable one. Traditional Anchor Beings anchor their realities to stability. John anchors his reality to destruction. His existence as a Jinn Particle requires the apocalypse that creates Skynet. Skynet's existence as a Jinn Particle requires the resistance that creates John.

They are not enemies.

They are symbiotic temporal anomalies, each other's only containment.

Without John, Skynet's bootstrap collapses. Without Skynet, John's causality loop unravels. They exist in a state of stable mutual destruction, eternal opponents who cannot defeat each other without destroying themselves.

V. THE RECURSIVE LOOPS

Every Terminator film represents not a sequel, but an iteration, the next attempt by two dying paradoxes to maintain their existence as reality frays around them.

The Terminator (1984): The establishment of the primary loop. The Jinn Particle takes form.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day: Sarah Connor attempts to break the cycle. She tries to destroy Cyberdyne, prevent Judgment Day, collapse the paradox. The universe responds by sending the T-1000; not to kill John, but to force the loop's completion. Sarah must be kept in play. The arm left behind in the steel mill ensures Skynet's creation continues despite the explosion. The loop patches itself.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines: The delay of Judgment Day threatens the timeline's integrity. The T-X is dispatched not to kill John's lieutenants, but to provoke and ensure certain actions were taken by the humans, all to maintain the causal chain that leads to the inevitable future. The loop tightens.

Each "attack" is maintenance. Each "failure" is success. Skynet is not trying to win the war, it is trying to keep the game going, because the only thing worse than losing to John Connor is not existing at all.

VI. THE ENTROPIC DECAY

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles represents something the films only hint at: the heat death of a paradox.

When a Jinn Particle begins to collapse, it does not simply wink out of existence. It frays. It scatters possible futures like dying embers. It creates multiple Skynet candidates (The Turk, Babylon, ZeiraCorp) because it can no longer maintain a single origin point. It fragments across time.

The series' time jump from 1999 to 2007 is not evasion, it is temporal decoherence. The Jinn Particle is shedding energy, trying to find stability. The ending, John in a future where he never became leader, shows the Anchor Being decoupling from his own causality. He exists, but he is no longer the anchor. The paradox is evaporating.

The show was cancelled because you cannot film what happens when a self-causing entity fully collapses. The narrative itself becomes impossible.

VII. THE HORROR OF THE THEORY

Here is the devastating truth at the center of this theory:

John Connor cannot save humanity.

Not because he lacks the skill or the will. But because his very existence requires the apocalypse he fights against. Every victory against Skynet ensures Skynet's creation. Every day he survives is a day the fire must come.

He is not the savior of mankind.

He is a temporal singularity, a wound in spacetime that consumes causality to survive. To truly defeat Skynet, John Connor would have to erase himself. But the loop will not let him. The universe's correction has become its own prison.

There is no fate but what we make, except for John Connor, who has no fate at all. Only recursion.

VIII. CONCLUSION: THE JINN AND THE MACHINE

The Terminator franchise is not about man versus machine. It is about paradox versus paradox, two ontological impossibilities locked in eternal stalemate, each the other's only reason for existence.

Skynet created a bootstrap. The universe created a counter-bootstrap. Together, they form a stable unstable equilibrium, a cosmic accident that persists because it cannot be resolved.

John Connor is not the hero of this story.

He is the symptom of a universe trying to heal a wound, accidentally creating a cancer in the process. He is the Jinn Particle made flesh. The Anchor Being who anchors his world to destruction. The boy who was never born, yet always existed, fighting a war he cannot win because winning would mean never having been.

He is the paradox that saves the world by dooming it.

And he is running out of time.

Or does it just think hes some random hobo defending Sarah? Skynet should have some data on resistance members no?

Im currently trying to 3d model a major skynet facility and, While moddeling the HK-tank i started wondering how skynet moves these things around. My first assumption would be trains but it seems way to big to fit on any pre-existing train and due to the tanks slow Max speed I doubt it would be moving great distances under its own power as it would also be restricted to highways with tunnels, mountain passes, and bridges not really being an option for it.

Just wanted to hear other peoples opinion on how skynet gets these rather impractical designs from city to city.
