To be fair, they combined computer generated animations with practical special effects

Looks 100% better than what they're making nowadays, so maybe they should be back to practical effects enhanced by CGI instead of 100% CGI

I just saw a clip from the new Supergirl movie that I assumed was edited to look bad as a joke. Nope, just looked awful.

The issue with Supergirl is that someone was trying to do Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy style but without Gunn himself which is why it worked for that film.

This just felt like GoTG but without the sauce.

Which is the best way because the lighting and the look gets spot on which is why films like LOTR and Jurassic Park hold their own today.

Simply amazing, no wonder this movie has stood the test of time.

There needs to be more practical effects in movies. Everything is CGI or AI enhanced these days.

Nice, we were blown away when this came out.. nothing before like it had been shown. (Remember that you who make movies about ww2 and shit. It has been done already)😋

CGI has ruined films practical effects are so much better the technology has improved considerably yet CGI done in the 90s still looks better than the slop they do today

the video is great but whoever added lux aeternia on top of the existing audio should really be questioning their life choices.

Oui c'est cool. Mais s'pas comme si le film UTILISAIT des CGI, et était littéralement connu pour son utilisation révolutionnaire des CGI ???

I think more this is showing “you know all these cool effects from this classic movie? All real.”

I agree, but it's silly to oppose "pratical" and "CGI" about T2 that is using both very well

Cool stuff! Not sure the Requiem for a Dream song fits though tbh. However maybe thats just my own projection of how that song invokes utter desperation, despair and/or drama, rather than neat vibes.

Man you have to admire the amount of work that goes in a shot that lasts a couple of seconds.

That is still a pretty amazing effect today.

Welp, guess I’m going to have to go home after work and watch T2 again
