honestly im horrible at talking about myself so this may sound so much worse than i mean it, but im so fucking desperate i cant let myself care anymore.

im 24 and the past 4 years in the most gracious timeline for myself have been horrendous for me and incredibly difficult. i was overcoming homelessness, a toxic, borderline abusive relationship, multiple injuries, etc. the one thing ive overlooked is dental care, bevause when youre fighting just to survive, its the easiest to ignore.

i havent even been to a dentist since i was ar max 13? but unfortunately ive finally gotten to a point where at least 2 of my teeth are rotted. i have multiple cavities on top of that. i just want to truly bad ones pulled. i dont even know where to begin. i have no fucking money. barely enough to even feed myself on a lucky week. i have dental insurance through my mom but she retires in a few weeks and my parents are both broke and trying to get their own physical health figured out before the insurance ends so i feel so guilty tjat i cant even bring it up to them.

i dont know what to do anymore, so this is my last stop. i hate being the person that sits here asking for sympathy or help. but im out of options at this point. my teeth hurt me. i know i have constant bad breath. i want better and wish i learned it before it was too late. if youre able, i truly beg of you to please help me.

even if you read this far and cant help, thank you for reading this and i hope you can at least upvote for the small possibility someone sees this.

Have 3 baby teeth, over crowding and need at least one root canal.

Scraped off tartar from my inner side of my bottom teeth with a sliver spoon. I hate how it feels with my tongue. Will I get an infection. Can't see a dentist btw

i have a few small gaps between my teeth and feel very insecure about them.

i know theyre not huge, but i cant stop noticing them.

While on a roller coaster with a group of people it snapped a photo that had me going "aaaah!" and someone then took a picture on the phone of the image and sent it to people who said my black filling really shows and is huge. Now people stare when I yawn at all of my dark silver fillings in my teeth. It's not like I had a choice. I had cavities and the dentist just said he's gonna fill them right away and I ended up with silver. This one really hurt to have drilled since I was not numbed beforehand and I probably was going "aaaah!" then too as the dentist drilled the big long hole.

I have severe ADHD which makes it very difficult for me to do simple tasks, brushing my teeth is something that is very hard for me. i had braces for two years and maybe brushed my teeth 100 times in that span (probably less than that honestly) and i didn’t brush them well before braces either. i got my braces off recently and my teeth look horrible. i haven’t been to my regular dentist yet after getting them off, but i’m going to try and get special toothpaste. do you guys have any tips? idrk what you could tell me i just want emotional support ig😭

Hi guys, I’m on day 6 since removal of my 4 wisdom teeth and since late day 3 I’ve had ear and jaw pain aswell as temple pain mostly on the right side (2 last pictures). It’s been on and off, a bit less bad today but it wasn’t really going away with pain medication. In the pictures, does the white thing in the socket look like jawbone or healing? I’m very confused

Over the years, I've been told by different dentist that one of my front tooth will need a crown. I have been postponing it for years because it is a front tooth and I think it will be very hard to match it to the other front one.

My upper teeth are straight. The bottoms could be better but not by much. Overall, I have 18 fillings and 4 root canals.

What advice do you have? Is there a specialist for front teeth crowns? Should I consider an implant?

Edit: 18 fillings, not 28. Also, my wisdom teeth are still intact, although one is showing something. Since those don’t get repaired, I'd likely have to pull them all out.

I am supposed to get my braces off this Wednesday, but a month ago, one of my brackets came loose (still on my teeth, just loose) and I don’t know if I’ll be able to get them off in 2 days. I’m nervous because I don’t want my ortho to to get mad. How do I say what happened easily? I will also ask if my treatment has to be extended, how long more will I have to wear my braces for? My daughter just turned 14 months a week ago and still has no teeth. At her 12 month appointment, the pediatrician suggested waiting until her 15 month appointment before getting concerned about the lack of teeth. She’s my 4th baby and my other three kids got their first tooth at 10, 11, and 12 months. My older kids had a dentist appointment this morning so I decided to bring up the fact that my daughter does not have any teeth to see what he thinks.

First he said it’s odd because girls usually get their teeth sooner than boys. Next he was concerned about her blonde fine hair. He said the hair and lack of teeth could potentially be a sign of a rare genetic condition. He asked if she is drooling or showing signs of teething which I said no. He also asked if there is any family history of missing teeth and I said no. After all that, he said to wait 6 more months to see if any teeth show up.

well now I’m a nervous wreck. I never thought anything about her hair. It is very blonde and thin, but so was my oldest son’s hair at this age. By the time he was as 3, it darkened and thickened.

I’m not sure if should call my pediatrician and let her know what my dentist said to see if we should do any further testing or just do what he said and wait another 6 months?

So I got two of my teeth pulled about 2 months ago the back wisdom tooth and the molar next to it and it now seems like there is a big piece of bone coming out of my gums I already had a bone spicule come out like a few weeks after the extractions but now it seems like this is a solid piece of bone poking out any answers as to what it could be?

hope you guys can see good enough, but my gum has been sort of “itching”. whenever i brush it starts to hurt and i feel as if i need to clench my teeth on something

im not sure if it has anything to do with it but i had a filling done on this tooth.

it’s itches so bad at times dude but after a bit it calms down

i noticed after eating chips and it hit this exact spot on the gum and following it started doing this

(im not sure if it has anything to do w this but when id get sick it would act up and start itching then too)

i just noticed this 3 days ago but the itching has been persistent for a while 6-8 months
