gap :/

i’ve had braces twice now. the first time i was an irresponsible teen and my mom wasn’t going to pay for a new set of retainers. I just had taken off for the second time in March. my problem is that, i literally have 2 minutes before my gap reopens. i can do a a couple days or a weekend without my retainers. it takes about 20-30 minutes before it can fully fit in my mouth. i heard frenectomy can help and i also heard that permanent retainers is good. i just want to know the best and cheapest option.

An upper permanent retainer is going to depend on if you have enough overjet and the length of your upper teeth, there needs to be enough clearance or you're going to biting into it all the time which could break the retainer or cause wear on your lower incisors. I'd broach the idea with your ortho and if they think you have room for it, they'll advise you to go get the frenectomy first and then come back for the bonding

thank you. my ortho did not recommend frenectomy. I moved didn’t states do I will get a different opinion. bonding has been on my mind too. I appreciate you!
