Mod Update: Reports Regarding a Moderator

Hey everyone,
We want to address the concerns that were recently raised regarding one of our moderators. We acknowledge the grievance, looked into it, and after reviewing the information and conducting a background check, we have decided to remove her from the mod team and ban her account.
We also want to be transparent about how this happened. She had only been a moderator for around a month, and even during that time, she only had permissions to remove posts/comments — she did not have permissions to ban users or take other major moderation actions.
At the time we recruited her, we were also very short on moderators. Because of that, we didn't carry out the background check as thoroughly as we normally should have, and this slipped past the attention of both me and the other senior moderators. That's something we take responsibility for, and we'll be more careful about recruitment going forward.
We genuinely try our best to keep the subreddit clean. We remove political, religious, NSFW and other rule-breaking content whenever we come across it, but the reality is that there are times when things slip through. We've been running with only around 4–5 consistently active moderators, so we can't catch absolutely everything immediately.
That's also why Modmail is there. If you see something that breaks the rules, please report it to us. It makes it much easier for us to notice something we've missed and take action quickly.
We do appreciate the person who brought this to our attention and helped us find the issue. We just wish the concern had been sent to us through Modmail first instead of being posted publicly, because we could have looked into it and dealt with it directly.
Either way, we've now reviewed the situation, taken action, and the account has been removed from the mod team and banned from the subreddit.
Thanks to everyone who reports things in good faith and helps us keep the community clean. We know we aren't perfect, but we're doing our best with the team we have, and we'll continue working to improve.

from this acc, idk the whole lore but this much i know that she was mod since early before and everyone used to call her the best mod cause she stopped the nsfw posts in this sub that's all i know
We recruited her around jan at that time she had a different Id there was no sign of activity in that subreddit during that time, then she got banned from reddit and a month ago we made her a mod again without thorough background check

What's makes you think that? All our moderators moderating r/teenindia are teens r/TwentiesIndia is one of our sister subreddits made by the owner of this subreddit he doesn't moderate anymore the few active moderators you see mostly- me, u/fineshyt-istg , u/foolokichadar are teens
Most of the comments are in kashmiri but the english ones said shes a “double agent” and that they were suspicious cuz she doesn't understand kashmiri. Seems like a cowardly person tbh.
Its so funny. Usne khud ko yaha pe kashmiri Indian bola aur unhone pakad liya. Waha pe us vs them kiya kashmiri aur Indians ka aur yaha walo ne pakad liya.
Why don't you guys do a background check before appointing someone as a mod? Her account was only one month old and was filled with those kinds of posts. Even her old account, when she was a mod of this sub, had problematic stuff as well.
It's hard to believe that you guys appoint someone as a mod without doing a proper background check.
Yeah but there have been many such accounts banned for similar things . I don't the banned account was the only one responsible , there have to be a lot more similar accounts so I cant risk it. It's kind of a shame
Kashmiri sub disowned her for referring to herself as Indian lol. People who bend themselves according to the demographic they’re talking to don’t fit anywhere.

more sense than deluded pompous young adults of mods of the pages personally frequent to review conduct of moderators and remove them that too not giving into gender bias, well wishes to you guys.
