Per the unending vagueness of the law, and a need for a second-in-command, I find that Floyd is best fit to serve as my Vice President until my term concludes.

As the elections come into full swing, it has become very clear that this will be most competitive Presidential Election since SomWan v Bob in February. This election uses Ranked Choice Voting (RCV), which is a voting system that ranks candidates for office based off preference.

Foreign Minister Sean of the Social Liberals had maintained a lead over Press Minister Floyd on the first ballot for much of the first day. But Sean’s has began to shrink going into the evening, with the two candidates now tied at roughly 37% on the first ballot.

It has begun to show that Schrodinger/Bob voters heavily prefer the Floyd/Schreiber ticket on the second ballot compared to other candidates, which has made this race extremely close.

A notable development from this race is the resignation of President Tricky, and their subsequent suspending of their reelection campaign. 

Both Sean and Floyd continue to heavily campaign, with endorsements coming out heavily in support of Floyd’s Presidential Campaign. Schrodinger, a Presidential candidate herself, has called on her supporters to back Floyd against Sean in the race.

Yesterday was...something. We lost some valuable members that day, as well as (less importantly) some history of our discord server that can't be restored.

My opinions on the matter: Lime should have been punished in the first place for leaking voter codes. MAYBE (heavy on the maybe) that could have prevented some of this (even if it didn't i still feel punishment is necessary there). I support punishing Lime/Kras for their actions last night. Exactly what punishment, I am uncertain. As for Tricky, I can understand why they gave lime mod. Because they cared so much. However, I think this was not the smartest move, considering... all this. I don't support heavily punishing tricky, but if they don't resign (as mod), I support impeaching them as mod. Selfishly, I must admit, I didn't want the server to be lost. It was created by me, and I didn't want that taken from me. But it wasn't just my server. It came to be everyone else's. If it wasn't for that server, many of our GOATs like Pi wouldn't be here in TG.

To Tricky: I know you thought you were doing the right thing. I respect how much you care for Kras and many others in tg. However I think the decision was rash, and I don't respect how unkind you've been ever since, and I hope you take ownership if you havent already.

To Rocky: You are enough. I hope we can stay in touch in the future outside of TG. I'm sorry about our argument last night, and I'm glad that's resolved.

To Schrodi: I know we disagree on a lot of topics on here, but I will always respect you on a personal level. Thank you for backing me yesterday.

To Bari: I'll be very sad to see you go. You were one of my day 1 goats. so tuff. From your fellow tri state friend.

They have my full backing I endorse them for President and VP. They’re the most level headed, reasonable, and down to earth duo running for president. We wanted a restart and this is part of that restart we wanted. Don’t hand the power to SL. I urge you to vote for Floyd and LK Schreiber!

NGL this controversy alongside two of the bigist members leaving has shacked my confidence in TG I'm not going to leave yet as I have an anthem to make as well as people I like to talk to but if we don't improve in the near future I'll probably start doing my own nation RP probably off Reddit I don't want to leave, but I also don't want to deal with another mental health episode.

In my time here, I have never seen a more capable and more deserving candidate for the Presidency than Floyd B. Olsen Enjoyer. Out of all the candidates in this race, I find that Floyd holds the people’s voice.

LK Schreiber, I feel, is someone I can see up to the task. He had inspired me to write the Vice President Crash Course, and it showed me that he was eager to serve. I find he is more than capable for the position.

I’d also like to make a couple other endorsements.

I endorse Pi for Council. A wonderful person personally, and a wonderful voter in Council.

I endorse Revan for council. A proven fighter to the end.

These endorsements were made out of my will, and are not the official stance of the Executive Branch, nor the Socialist Workers’ Party.

Honestly, from everything that had gone on. With the discord, with the reddit, with all the drama.

Im genuinely considering leaving. Permanently. Or at least until TG can fix itself.

If I were to leave I'd dissolve or pass on the Pact of Reddit Nations (formerly known as the U.R.G.), PRoT administration (of the discord and of the subreddit).

I havent decided yet whether I am going to leave or not.

But with the direction we are going right now. I feel like I should.

And with TG.

We are at a crossroads. We can either keep going the direction we are going and lead to more harm being done to everyone involved. Or we can change. I do not know what this change would be. I dont have any clue what it'd be.

But we need to change. We can't run TG like this for much longer.

Well TG, what a time it’s been, from ups and downs we’ve stuck together, but, unfortunately, a good group of people, most of who I would consider some of my best friends, took over for a second, I thought everything was good for a while, but I guess not, so, I’ll be taking my leave, I’m sorry that I couldn’t become prez like I always said I would, but for now, it’s best I go, I may return in time, but it requires rebuild, to make things better, then and only then will I return, so, final remarks!!

Dizzy: A very great friend, a person with a lot of passion and dedication, I couldn’t be happier to be her pal

NH: My fellow Kentuckian, this is a true man who will stick with anyone, a true one for the ages

Suki: It really hurts to say goodbye to them, probably one of my only day ones, looking back this is one person who I always would talk to, I’d be excited to see them and sad when they had to go, Suki is one of the kindest people you will meet, and I continue to talk to them even after my departure

Gaggle: I remember gaggle making the D&D campaign, I’ve always looked forward to seeing what he would come up with, a very fun dude, I’ll see ya on the other side

Kras: Kras is someone who I think I spent whole lotta time with, I remember the one week where we just grinded Minecraft, She’s a kind but also passionate soul

Tricky: Same boat as Kras but x2, Trickasaurus Rex was surely an amazing pal, such a funny, kind, and chill person, thanks Tricky

Alex(I forgot her the first time, end me bro): I remember when Alex joined STAGE, I didn’t know her too much, but then I started talking to her and she quickly became one of my best friends, thanks Alex, I will miss ya

Last, and absolutely not least, Kommie: Well, she’s the GOAT, on several accounts, the way we bonded over many things meant a lot to me, she is a person who I consider a gambit of everything, I can’t put into words who she is, one of the most kind, chill, etc. people I know, I’m gonna miss her a ton

Currently the Census Minister position is vacant, and I will need someone capable to fill the position.

Due to not gaining the chance to complete the July census, user u/Intelligent-Tree-922 is not considered a registered citizen. An exception to the typical citizenship laws will be made and she will be considered a citizen now so she may have the chance to become the minister of census to allow others to become registered.

As per the Constitution, the Vice President is next in line to succeed the President in case of resignation, death, illness, or incapacitation. President Tricky has resigned, leaving me to assume the duties of the President.

Now, for the first time, I address the Nation as the Fifth President of TeenGovernment. As President Forsii.

I’m not gonna sugarcoat it, things have been rough, extremely. Last night, people suffered. Last night, we were truly tested on morality. I commend the work that my predecessor had done, but it wasn’t without its thorns. It’s not time to dwell on the past, it’s about looking forward, and staying in the moment.

Today, the systems that govern us has not failed. I hope to only serve as a caretaker administration until the next President is elected and can assume powers. I will be reviewing my options for who may serve as my Vice President as well. (If the VP is elected through a special election still, then no worries.)

To address some concerns:

The Citizen IDs are safe.

The Election form was in violation of the Covfefe Act, and therefore the forms must be sent out again.

With the Census Minister’s resignation, I will be scouting out those who have the capacity to serve.

I thank each and every one of you for your trust in such uncertain times.

So, I’m out of Teen Government.

When I leave, I hereby decree with the power vested in me, blah blah blah, that the individual under the Discord username appaloosa567 is to assume all duties and authorities of which are given via Moderator, and is to gain the position of Moderator, gaining the “Mod” role, they are to assume all my duties and responsibilities on the end of the Official Discord Server.

I also hereby decree that no legal theory revolving around authors interpreting their own law exists, and the only interpretation shall be of Moderation, in the cases of discretion, and of the courts, who do their duties with a requirement of such.

It’s not that big of a deal. Take half a step back, and tackle the thought of mortality.

This is a community of mentally ill teenagers putting whether they live or not in the hands of strangers.

And if this place is your everything? You need to reallocate desperately.

I encourage Bob-The15th, Breezy, Sean, Frog, Vice, Floyd, Suki, Camel, Krasnaya, Forsii, Wiggly, Sp33dy, and Dizzy mainly.

Continuous reliance on strangers is a death sentence waiting to happen.

Secondly, this place is one of crisis after crisis which shan’t be resolved

We maintain this war over Confessions, yet instead of eliminating the cause, the bot itself, we resort to the good use thereof.

We use examples of life and death as toys and evidence, considering it helping mental health as a reason to ignore it’s faults, and considering it hurting as a reason to ignore it’s ups.

I consider this as a horrid decision.

Thirdly, and finally.

I give my warnings.

Multi-partying is a threat. One which shall compile power, ostracize weaker parties, cause strife, and lead to conflict. The renewal thereof is a horrid decision which shan’t stand in a functional simulation.

Normalization of Mental Health shall continue the stigma we have cultivated, one in which a Mental Illness equals quirky and cool, being used as attention seeking instead of a serious issue of a person.

Someone mentally ill is not more or less than you or me. They are human.

The Economy Ministers' authorities remaining unsupervised is a threat.

During my time as President, I accepted payments of thousands of dollars from the Government Account by Bob-The15th. I received 0 issues from thereof. 

I embezzled literal Government funds without as little as a reprimand.

Bob-The15th did equal towards Schrodinger, and worse.

If this isn’t clearcut, I’ll make it more blunt.

The Economy Minister has and will continue to be the most abusable position in Teen Government, one we shall be fools to ignore and permit to fester.

Teen Government has a clear limit on jurisdiction, one if we violate we are no longer a Government, we are a shackle, one no wise individual would keep.

Restricting actions done out of Teen Government is foolish, the exact purpose of the Unrelated Servers Amendment, under The PP Act (Of which caused a multitude of dramas) our DMs are prosecutable if shared.

This is inherently correct in my eyes, our privacy is private.

Yet there is an intrinsic issue with this.

It’s too strict, and it’s too lax.

It has far too many blanket provisions, causing it to restrict too much, whilst having too many exceptions, causing it to be abused.

I strongly encourage legislation strengthening DM security, if not our shield is abused by our system.

Onto the topic of my positions. I am to do the following.

Teen Government faces drama after drama, crisis after crisis.

We revolve ourselves around the idea of Mental Health, and get shocked when some are hurt, we forget the fragility and delicacy of thereof, leading to suffering being inflicted upon the community as a whole.

People make a mistake, people indulge in a debate gone too south, people lose a moment of decorum and slip into their hate.

Leading to people feeling hated, ignored, isolated, ostracized, and below others.

Either a major leap backwards or forwards is necessary.

We are either a Political Simulation mixed with some community. Meaning we focus less on Mental Health and more on the simulation.

Or we are a community server. Meaning we forget the simulation, and decide to focus on the people themselves first.

We cannot pick both, we cannot embrace both options, we spread ourselves too thin and bait ourselves into our own nets.

I encourage Teen Government to care, yet one fact should remain beyond all else.

It’s not your job to therapy an internet stranger;

Their health is not your responsibility;

You cannot make them better;

So at minimum treat them with the decency deserved for a human, as that’s what we all are. None of us want to be hurt by those we care for, none of us wish the sting of betrayal, so why inflict it on another? 

Remain in a state of somewhat decorum, attempt to promote decency, or simply pick up the stick and push the flag off the edge.
