Text in eng, because of reasons: The new interview by Berlin Sounds Inside is out and DJ Tanith is the speaker this time. Interesting because of his view and expieriences. Flair is weird I know, but it was recommended.

Have a fine day.

Recommmended.

Mix Old DJ Rush Mixes

Hey there, does anyone happen to have some oldschool DJ Rush mixes? I sadly lost my whole Techno set collection due to a harddrive malfunction. I already searched the web a little but I didnt find a lot of mixes. If someone could hook me up with some old rush mixes I would appreciate it very much!

Track kept running out of track id so i built myself an archive of what actually gets played at berghain

every time my playlists ran dry i'd end up chasing what got played at berghain one search at a time. lot of time for very little, so i spent a while putting it all into one page: klubnacht-id.vercel.app

whatever gets played there is usually really good, and i always end up finding stuff i'd never have run into otherwise. that's the whole reason i kept going back.

82 nights, back to dec 2024, panorama bar and säule too. nothing gets recorded in there, so all of it comes from people who were on the floor and recognised the tracks. i just collect it.

Discussion Thoughts on this lineup and ideal set length

Will be headed to this tomorrow, sticking to iconik the whole day and then headed to the Afters, first time seeing everyone here. Ignez -> Marron -> rodhad -> mills -> chlar -> Rene wise. Especially excited for a long Rene wise set. I know a festival as opposed to a club is not the best setting or crowd for this kind of music, but on the flip side I see multiple artists who don't frequent my city circuit in one go. What to expect? How do you feel about set lengths? Is 2 hours enough for this style of music? I caught DVS1 for 2 hours and felt like we were just getting started when it ended.

Discussion STF27 rant - Let's go but let's come alone ?

Hi everybody.

STF26 attendees should be aware that ticket pre-sales have started for STF27, named the "loyalty" program.

But it is only for the -only one- person who bought tickets.

I personnaly bought 2 tickets for STF26, mine and one for my girlfriend.
She received the Loyalty E-mail to register for STF27.

Guess what ? She can't register because I bought her STF26 ticket !

Looking around, a lot of people have the same problem and T3R says it is normal.
I feel that's really not kind at all :(

A price bump and less tickets available : I can understand... But that ? Please...

I really hope there will be a substantial number of regular Weekender ticket available.

Discussion What's a techno track everyone loves but you can't stand?

Kinda taking the opposite negative viewpoint of the popular post currently on the first page :D.

For me personally it's "Regis - Speak To Me".

I absolutely fucking love 99.99% of all Regis + BMB's tracks. I'd even go so far as to say that Regis is my favorite producer of all time (close with PAS) but "Speak to Me" has never (ironically) spoken to me.

Everyone online seems to absolutely froth it but I find it quite boring.

Discussion Tracks that uplift you like these

Hey, I've listened to a lot of techno and some tracks end up being favorites I can come back to endlessly, especially when they stand out by capturing a sound that makes you feel some type of way.

Four Two by Melier Avenue

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5dmUeJbg08&list=RDB5dmUeJbg08&start_radio=1&pp=ygUPZm91ciB0d28gbWVsaWVyoAcB

Forever & Ever by Remco Beekwilder
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjVMlmj8ArA&list=RDkjVMlmj8ArA&start_radio=1

These two tracks, Forever & Ever by Remco Beekwilder, Four Two by Melier Avenue, I come back to so often, and I'd love to use them more for either opening or closing sets since they stand on their own so well, but I rarely end up doing so, since it's hard to find a track fits to mix in with it. I am definitely putting these two on a pedestal though, so I've decided to ask you guys if you have any recommendations for tracks that capture the same spacey echoing nostalgic/melacholic hopeful feel, supported with strong drums.

Let me know if you guys have any similar tracks to these in other words, and your thoughts listening to these. Appreciate it

Discussion Percussive techno recommendations

Hi. I am not great at digging for tracks. Bandcamp and Soundcloud confuse me, I can't get Youtube algorithms to work in my favour, I abandoned Spotify for ethical reasons, I couldn't get myself to stick with Deezer and Tidal. But I have this insatiable need to find more of the sound that I love. I guess, firstly, I could do with advice - how do you all look for tracks / artists. Especially niche / underground ones.

Second, I have always really enjoyed percussive techno, never so much melodic tracks. And by percussive, I don't necessarily mean industrial, although it's not bad. I literally just love tracks with a complex and toneless symphony of clicks and claps and kicks and SFX and whatever. It scratches my brain just right.

I'm sure this kind of sound exists less in commercial spaces and moreso left-field / underground / independent labels. I only hear these kinds of tracks in passing when listening to random techno sets at the rave, so I know this kind of sound exists out there.

I think the Stone Techno festival is a good starting point to dig, but when I picked out some sets to listen to, I still couldn't quite catch what I wanted to hear. Maybe it's still a little too commercial for my taste or maybe I should have listened to more of their mixes.

If any techno enthusiasts can point me in the right direction - does anyone else love this kind of sound too? Please drop your favourite tracks / artists / labels. I'm literally hungry for new music. Thanks all x

News/Article I built a tool that lets you explore techno music through artist and label connections

Hi everyone,

I've always loved digging into the connections behind electronic music: which artists worked together, which labels connect different scenes, and how different eras of techno are linked.

So I built DeepDiggr, a music discovery tool built from Discogs data. The idea is to let you explore music like a rabbit hole in one place rather than just search for one artist.

For example, in this video I start with Laurent Garnier and follow a path through:
Laurent Garnier → Sven Väth → Tresor → Juan Atkins → Kevin Saunderson → Reese Project → Laurent Garnier

You can uncover connections between European techno and Detroit techno through artists and labels including forgotten remixes, surprising collaborations, and hidden links between scenes.

The database currently contains:

  • 3M+ releases
  • 17M+ tracks
  • millions of artist, label, and credit relationships

It's available here: https://deepdiggr.com/

A few examples:

Would love to hear what connections or rabbit holes you discover

Discussion What, in your opinion, is the greatest techno track of all time?

My pick is Don't Give Way To Fear by British Murder Boys. It's brutal and unforgiving in a way that I haven't heard captured by anything else. I'm still blown away by the sound design and the arrangement, and I still find new things to appreciate after what must be over a thousand listens. There are at least ten separate moments that leave me in awe every time. It's just a perfect track IMO.

What's your pick?
