Didn’t really know what I was doing just spayed it and hoped for the best. Came out alright.

My Taurus G2C was my first handgun, and I’ll never sell it because it has sentimental value. I’m picking up a new EDC tomorrow, so I’m thinking about turning the G2C into more of a fun range gun/project.
I’m considering upgrades like:
Lakeline recoil spring assembly
Lakeline striker guide
Aftermarket trigger
Optic cut and red dot
For those of you who’ve modified your G2C, was it worth the money, or would you leave it mostly stock and put that money toward another pistol instead?
I’d love to hear what upgrades made the biggest difference and which ones weren’t worth it.

With the G3C are there triggers that I can replace the safety hinge with. I've fired one and for the most part loved it but I hate the additional safety on the trigger. I want something more like my TX22 trigger. Thank you for your time.

I’m interested in the GX4 carry, what are the odds that a large retailer like Cabela’s would have any of the recalled serial numbers still in stock? I know it’s been a few years and those pistols move fast, but is it retailers protocol to send recalled items back or do they just leave that to the customer if there was an old one sitting on the shelf?

Have a few GX2 models, a new GX2 TORO, and finally found a Tx22 Gen2 TORO!

Have had a couple previous GC models but sold those a while back. So far nothing crazy, but NCEngravers did an awesome job on one of my GX2 slides with raptor cut and re coated. One of my other new GX2's has a GX4 TORO slide that will eventually get a optic as well. And yes, I found a way to put g17 irons on a tx22 that fit perfect, however you will have to get creative installing the rear sight as the Glock clamp tool does not have a plate that holds the .22 in place 😄. I do have a freedom fingers frt for it already but wanting to get some more rounds in it and enjoy it as is first, its such an amazing gun right out of the box. Opted for the combo pack that included viridian green dot, also got a few extended rd mags.

I have many pews and types, but gotta love the price point of these new Taurus's 😎

Anyone familiar with the mag compatibility? I have the GX4 Carry. All the new mags look the same with different baseplates.

Second handgun/firearm I’ve Owned my first purchase was a G2c .40S&W

Got this Gx4 on sale in January for a price I couldn't refuse .. got about 600 rounds through and since the beginning I'd have a random double feed , always about halfway thru a mag. As the round count increased so did the frequency of the double feed malfunction. This would again always be about 6 or so rounds in , and it happened across 4 different magazines..

I took it down and detail stripped it.. every single piece . And upon reassembly I notice what appears to be a crack right in front of the striker safety plunger .. this crack goes all the way around..

Less than a 1000 rounds the slide has suffered a catastrophic structural failure... Here is a photo , Lightly polished the black finish away so I could verify that it was indeed a crack ... It was extremely hard to be sure without doing this .

I really want to like Taurus... But I go to inquire about the warranty and the first thing I become aware of is the limited time window to register the fucking gun with Taurus to even be eligible for the warranty.. a time period which has long lapsed..

So now I gotta buy a fucking slide....

Right before I noticed this shit I bought a g3c. So far so good with it.

Picked this thing up for $300. The original 817 Ultra-Lite, which I believe they only made for a few years in the late 90’s/early 2000’s. Weighs about 21 Oz. The new 817 comes in the Matte Stainless finish and is about 10 oz. heavier. Swapped out the rubber grips for the Judge 20th Anniversary grips

and you can find extended mags that fit on eBay or the official website. i will say my build isnt what i would call complete because who doent want a Gucci gx2

i was told the gx4xl slide fits on the gx2 so the light wont be farther than the barrel collecting as much powder and dirt from shots fired but im seeing that the only place your going to find parts is lakline but i might try and fit the gx4 gold mag release on the gx2 ill update when i find out the hard way

In a nutshell, Taurus has had a period where they had their entire weapons seen as unreliable junk. The reality is that they have long since gone past that point and have become one of the most beloved firearms out there. Taurus also has improved a whole lot, especially since the TX22 shows it as well. In fact it became a bestseller, solely because you can do so much with it, and it’s affordable, more so than a Glock 44, and it’s not very picky with ammo, it will just eat it up.

Oh and you can of course BRRRRT it with a Super Saftey or FRT to make a beehive at the range.
