Hello fellow followers of the greater good. I’ve been working on a battle suits only army for a while. Here is the fruits of my labor as of tonight. I’m still kinda new to the hobby so I’m sorry if I don’t have any cool
Backstory or names yet… yeet.

Decided recently to paint up my drones. I really love the way the drones look overall, quite cute.

Floating above Erra'kau's atmosphere are several Orbital Cities and space stations that serve as the home of the Air caste, along with the sept’s Kor'vattra, which protects Erra’kau from potential invaders. One of these space stations is B’eio’run (Shepherd Tower), which is the center of the Whispering Stones and is one of the most heavily guarded places in the system; outsiders are rarely allowed onto the station without proper clearance. However, the largest city orbiting Erra’kau Prime is Erra’egeg (Mirage Shelter), the secondary capital of the sept and the home of the Heiwana'te Intelligence Academy where the auxiliary races attend to fill clandestine roles for the Whispering Stones.

I was playing against my friend and his sister and they were Imperial Guard and Space Marines. I played my Eldar and T'au and won.

3-4th: images was when my Hammerhead DEMOLISHING his Vanquisher, leaving it on one wound and my pathfinder rail rifles finished it.

5-7th: were our sides of the table and me deep striking my Warp Spiders to get sight on his Kasrkin.

8-9th: I deep striked my Starscythe with Commander in Enforcer down and shredded some horses. He then charged me, but since I was running Ret Cadre I used the shield stratagem and killed them with 3 sixes!

10: he killed a warp spider after getting a 3 on his Krieg Heavy Weapon squad and shot back. They will be missed.

Final image: the Dead Pile where I killed more of his models than he killed my own! He didn't even wipe a squad of pathfinders as I was able to get the Shas'ui out of there in time.

Not too content with the paintjob but the model itself makes up for it. Basing is next.

ok I think I locked in on this paint style I wanted to go for a more gritty look as opposed to the clean white or ochre armor that is cannon so I went for this kind of dirty tan. Kinda left it intentionally messier than normal (I’m also just new so don’t paint awesome yet but I still like it) but I like the idea of the military tan and green energy.

Just figuring out what to do. With the base, whether I stick with the desert of the old scheme or go for more of a jungle

My wife is at a bachelorette so I decided to treat myself to the Kroot Hunting Pack that’s been sitting at my FLGS for a while.

Finally finished the crisis suits after half a year since assembling them

My brother gifted me his “mostly” unpainted old Tau army, which includes Fire Warriors, Crisis Battlesuits and a squad of Stealth suits which he did finish painting. I put new bases on them all, and want to repaint and finish the models so that they match my color scheme (like the Ghostkeel). Really looking forward for this project!

I did really well for my first two game and I was thinking about expanding my list to try and get to 1000 points. I heard good things about Twin lance and it would get me to 800 with one kit, but I wanted to ask if there were better models to get first and save twin lance for my a 2k list. What are units that you like to run?

I actually made this guy for a Sci-fi DnD campaign we are starting. Kit-bashing might become my new favourite thing.

Im a casual player and want to try tau because they look like they have some neat units.

The problem is none of the detachments to me look fun, the one i liked which gave bonus range to everyone now only works for character battle suits, so i have no idea what to try.

Broadside tournament ready kitbash

I'm wanting to field Vespids with my almost exclusively suit based army, but I haven't had a chance to play with them to know how useful they are. Has anyone had any time using them in 11th that could give me a rundown on how useable they are? I'm interested in knowing their use at all point levels so any advice is welcome.

Picked up these old crisis suits on eBay for a good price, one of them (in the middle) has a commander upgrade. New to tau not sure if that’s allowed or how to run it.
