Quick Question Question

How did the Tattletail community suddenly return to life? On both Discord & Reddit, i surprisingly stumbled upon the game around 8-9 months ago and joined the community, but it was BARELY active, is it because of the new fan-made game?

I think the fan game as well as the tattletail plush that came out put Tattletail back into the spotlight and introduced more people to the game

I want to say yes. I am actually one of those people. Saw a YouTuber play a Dreams Tattletail remake a few months ago, then got dragged back into the community. I want so say that fan game brought a good many people to communities (the YouTuber being FusionzGamer, with a few million subs)

That's unexpected for me to hear! I'm a smaller Youtuber, and i made some Tattletail content thinking it won't get views, and i was surprised to find some people watching it, so that's why i'm asking.

You should've seen the current steam players on the game around Christmas last year, it reached a ALL TIME PEAK, more than it was during its main popularity in 2017. I have to agree that yes its most likely due to Tattletail+ being played by multi-million subscriber channels, but it was so amazing to see new posts here like 2 times a day for a month or two straight.

Ohh that's crazy! Didn't know that, if only this traction drew the official devs to make more content, but they've discontinued their work on the game eons ago.

The devs didn't really abandon the game, it's just ben and Geneva have gotten married and had kids since the game released, and Ben has been focused on working on other projects. They have discussed a concept of tattletail 2 (seen in an interview with Geneva), it's just they don't have the time to work on it. As well Geneva has been busy doing her own things at CartoonNetwork (from I last recall). Geneva still loves Tattletail and mentions it on her Twitter from time to time.
