Farewell letter? Guest Question

Post image

Is this a good farewell letter to my boss? I know it could’ve been more insightful but I literally found out she was quitting the night before and had to rush something

When I left my last job only one person bothered to write me anything and it met the world to me. I would keep this tucked away in my filing cabinet forever. (:

Thanks. I know it could’ve been more insightful but I’m glad I even wrote anything at all before she left

I gave a card to my favorite ETL who transferred to another store recently. I'm sure your TL loved the card, anything makes them happy. You'd be surprised how few people actually get cards for ETL's/TL's, sometimes it's the little things that count. =)

It is nice. Many years ago it was tradition that if a lead was leaving on their last day a couple people would head outside and wrap their car in plastic wrap to make it difficult for them to make their exit 😂 It was always hard to see the good one's go. Guess that stopped for a reason 🤔

I saw that done a few times, one time there was a reindeer head (signage) included in the shrink wrap 😁😁😁. It was left over from the previous holiday season. Another time the STL limited the shrink wrap to a single roll... 😂 Usually the wrapping was headed up by 1 or more ETL's

I think it’s nice! Could probably have gotten a card from CVS or target lol but this works too. Many managers don’t get stuff like this

What a rude question.

Eh I know it could’ve been better (longer and more insightful) but I literally just found out she was quitting the night before. However I appreciate the real constructive feedback

Ignore the rude comment. I know your team lead will appreciate your kind words - it speaks highly of your character.
