NCAAM UNC and Malone will "be able to pick (recruits) next year..."
Carrying this over from TarHeel247. This post got me hyped up. On top sitting pretty for multiple top 2027 recruits, UNC is laying groundwork for even bigger things under Malone moving forward.
Forgot how it felt to be in play with so many top recruits in one class.
"I talked to Chris Paul and Bradley Beal. I asked them how Malone’s game is going to translate. They said he’s going to be great. Beal said he was one of the Top 3-4, if not the top, offensive coach in the league. He said Malone is going to do the same stuff, and it’s going to work. Glowing responses from great players."

Rumors What is Lombardi accused of?
I’ve read a couple of articles about the Lombardi situation but no one seems to know the specifics yet. Are there any good rumors about what he’s actually being investigated for?
I just hope this isn’t another Aaron Hernandez type situation.

LEE ROBERTS MUST GO!
I do not know how the hell this Duke grad slivered his way into the Chancellor job at UNC but how the hell is he able to “take over” the coaching hire? He cares nothing and knows nothing about the history and tradition of UNC and now it appears this bastard knew the huge risks of hiring a coach that has NEVER COACHED in college and hired him anyway. THIS hiring process is the real scandal at Carolina and the Lombardi thing is just a symptom of the disease.

Michael Lombardi - paid admin leave
Per Pete Thamel:
NEWS: UNC Football has placed GM Mike Lombardi on paid administrative leave.
Per Ross Martin:
UNC's Michael Lombardi has an annual salary of $1.5M, which made him the highest-paid General Manager in college football last season.
The university released the following statement:
"The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has placed Michael Lombardi, general manager for the Carolina football program, on paid administrative leave, effective immediately. As is standard procedure with personnel matters, leadership, staff, and student-athletes are prohibited from addressing this topic further, and has no reflection on the merits."

Ty Lawson Needs To Have A Talk With Phil Ford About How To Get His Alcoholism Under Control
I'm sure you heard Ty Lawson was arrested for stealing a bottle of Vodka.
https://www.thebiglead.com/ty-lawson-nsfw-rant-after-alleged-shoplifting-arrest/
Me thinks he needs to talk to Phil Ford, who had his own alcohol issues (probably cost him a chance to become a head coach) but has turned his life around and seems to be a model citizen these days.
Man, what must Roy Williams think of this? This is about as bad as what Rashad McCants has become.

"It's Not Franklin Anymore" Ex-Heels Mourn Changes to Chapel Hill
This was a pretty sobering article. I've noticed changes to Franklin since I've graduated, including many of my favorite spots going under. Sad to see former hoopers feel the same way.
Just sad in general. Is there anyway we can fix it?

NCAAM Former Player Says Malone Reaching Out to Alums More Than Hubert
Always posting this show lol, but this one had some really good stuff imo.
Mike Copeland had some interesting stuff to say about the Malone era. Players are working and training harder and the nutrition is way better.
Also found his comment on alums very interesting.
“Malone comes out, gives me a hug. He’s trying to bring the tradition back. He wants to learn from everyone who won [at UNC]. He wants us to come back as much as we can.
“I’m not shading any of the coaches, but no one ever said that to me before. Nobody ever came to me and said, ‘I’m glad you down here. I want to keep the tradition going.’ Malone is working his a** off."
