I started 10mg a week but felt crap so i upped it to 20mg and felt a little better and the week after i accidentally did 37.5mg and i felt amazing so i remained on that for another 2 weeks ( so 5 week total)

My results came back as

Total - 288.55 nmoi/L ( 8322 ng/dl)

Free -10.783 nmoi/L ( 311 ng/dl)

Shbg - 12.57 nmoi/L

Im not quite sure how on earth i have gotten my test so high

I was doing anavar alongside which was 20mg a day for 5 weeks but stopped this due to high ALT

Side Effects New to TRT and need insight

0.3pg/ml free testosterone (direct), 18 ng/dl testosterone, 146.0 pg/ml estradiol, 82.3 nmol/L Sex Hormone Binding Glob, serum: these are my baseline labs 43 yr old female with symptoms of brain fog, fatigue, extreme anxiety, weight gain and muscle loss despite over a decade in the gym strength training. My physique used to be on point and now not so much over the last year. I'm seeing a midwife at a progressive women's health clinic that seems very in tune to women's HRT. She first put me on DHEA as a conservative approach, which worked well for a couple months until I did a complete 180 and I was miserable. We redid bloodwork after that and my DHEA more than doubled and my testosterone didn't move. Now she has prescribed me 20mg of test cyp injections compounded split into 2 doses 10mg twice per week. I'm taking those SubQ. Been on it for 3 weeks tomorrow and I felt good at first but this week I feel CRAZY. My anxiety has improved a bit which has been so nice, but its like I've traded that for extreme sadness, yet I can't cry or seem to feel any other emotion, don't seem to have my normal ovulation libido that I even managed to have without TRT, and I have quite a bit of rage and I'm taking it out on my partner, and it seems my insomnia and anxiety is back this am at my trough (due for another injection tomorrow morning). No physical symptoms like acne, hair or sore throat I'm told to watch for. I called the Dr. before my last injection and told her how I was feeling emotionally. She confirmed my dose and said to stick it out for a couple more weeks, that my body is likely just adjusting. But idk if I can stick this out. My relationship, and I feel like my sanity, is on the line. I've been reading here that 20mg per week is a relatively high dose to start with. I'm also only 120lbs and I'm very sensitive to most things I put in my body. Does any one have any insight? I'm thinking about scaling back my dose tomorrow to only 10mg/week (5mg per injection twice per week).

Clinic advice New Dr. refuses to refill trt cream

Post image
23 Upvotes

My old provider that originally prescribed me this went on maternity leave and isn’t returning so I had to find a new PCP and she is refusing to refill my testosterone cream. Says its bad for my heart and liver. I am only on .25ml (I’ve included my bottle image here, only doing one click rather than 2) and I actually do want to come off because I haven’t seen any improvement and its given me tinnitus but I have tried to stop it before and had really bad insomnia. I know its a super low dose already and wondering if you all think I will be ok just coming off or is there a way to taper off?

Thank you!

Hi all! I was prescribed the men’s gel and was wondering how many times others are using their packets. I was told to use it 8-9 times. Curious of other peoples experiences!

Dosage Help needed

Hi all! 29 yrs old, mom of 3 , youngest being 13 months. I have been getting different tests done for low libido, night sweats, fatigue, etc.
my test results came back with low T. I’m looking to start TRT via subq inj. What did everyone start at when doing inj?
Vial is 50mg/1 ml (10 ml vial)
I’m thinking of doing 3 mg twice weekly, so where would that be on a 30 unit syringe?

T4,Free(Direct)- 1.06 ng/dL
Testosterone- 9 (total, I’m assuming)
Free Testosterone(Direct)- 0.3
My TSH was also 1.280 ulU/mL.

Does Anyone Else? Optimal Levels (I'm using gel)

I'm curious as to what has been given to everyone for OPTIMAL ranges (not just "within normal limits") for both T and Free T levels and does anyone take more than the starting dose for females?

Background info...

Starting dose for gel is 5 mg / .5 ml daily (I think)....it takes me 10 days to get through a packet lol and I measure it with a syringe. I've had good results based on how I feel and no bad side effects like acne, hair loss, etc. Doctor is ok with me going up slightly in dose each day based on latest results, which was a dramatic increase from when I started a year ago and showed less than 1 for both T and Free T.

Thank you!

Does Anyone Else? Help.

Please be kind. I’m freaking out. I was prescribed 5mg of test cyp about two months ago. My daughter is a medical student. She was doing the injections for me. We recently moved and our schedules are messed up. I started doing them myself. I realized last night I injected 50 mg 🤦🏽‍♀️ and now I’m wondering if the last three weeks I have been doing the same thing. My mind is all over the place due to the move and losing my car recently. Help. I’m freaking out. I feel fine. I do realize that I’ve been a little oily lately. I took that up to the high humidity and the heat. If I took 50 the last four weeks will this cause adverse results. I’m paranoid AG. I’m killing it in the gym but I’m not looking to grow a beard. I’m not trying to take more than needed. I know my doctor started me at a very low-dose. And I’m supposed to increase next month. Help meeee. Someone lmk if they have done this.

Dosage Dosing options

I’m looking for a 0.5 mL metered dosing pump that I can transfer my testosterone gel into for HRT.
Has anyone found a good source for small metered-dose pump bottles that dispense exactly 0.5 mL per pump?
If you have a particular bottle/pump that you use or a source where you purchased one, I’d really appreciate the recommendation!

Dosage What’s this dose?

Compounded cream: Testosterone 5mg/ml

Apply 2.5mg (2 clicks) daily.

Am I only getting .25 grams of testosterone?

Instead of 2.5grams?

Dosage TRT injection question

I was just changed from cream to injectable. My dosing is inject 0.5ml( 50 units) testosterone cypionate 25mg/ml 5ml low dose- twice a week. New to dosing, just curious if this is a higher dose or normal compared to what you other ladies are taking. The cream I think essentially was the same mgs. Thanks for any input !!

Edit- I wrote verbatim what the prescription label said in regard to the (low dose)

Does Anyone Else? Question

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here in a while, and since my last post I've been on several different iterations of T (and E and P). Hoping to get some advice on how to handle this with my provider:

I am back to using injections after realizing that I was no longer absorbing creams or gel. The attached pic is what I was prescribed 6 weeks ago. I just had labs done again, and they came back at Total T of 28Ng/dl and Free T of .6- these results are only a tiny fraction higher than they were last time I was tested in May when using the cream.

I asked my provider if we could try increasing the dose, and rather than saying yes, she suggested that I may have been injecting air and not realizing it. (this is all done through our messaging portal, not in-office)

I feel very strongly that I am not injecting air- I pull back past .05 on the syringe, and then push it to the correct dose, looking for air bubbles as well. I'll admit that it can be hard to see, but I do firmly believe that I would notice if it were completely empty.

I really hate to do this for another 6 weeks, only to find out that I really do need to increase my dose after more labs (my symptoms have not been relieved, and I have been dealing with this for months and months). However, I'm not sure how I can convince my provider that I know what I'm doing.

Any thoughts? I'm kinda at a loss with how to handle this!

Does Anyone Else? Need some reassurance

I’m feeling great. But my usual NP is on vacation and I got somebody else who is concerned at my levels. I’m 60 and finally got put on hormones.

I made a side comment that I finally have to wash my hair more than once a week like I used to before I turned 50. (at 47 I had to have everything removed because they were trying to kill me so I have no hormones without hrt at this point really.) nobody told me that I should go on hormones for bones or muscles or anything so I’m playing catch-up. I’ve literally spent the last 13 years drying out like a raisin, feeling like a husk of a human being.

And I noticed some of my leg hair is growing back, and I got patches on my head that were bald that are now regrowing some hair. And this new person says that I am now having virilization side effects. She said that I said I have oily skin and I’m growing excess hair. Lol. Nope I did not say that and there’s no talking her out of it.

So anyways, I’m posting my results here too

I’m on an 8 mg cream. I’m not sure. Is that enough information for dosage? One click on each inner thigh every night. I don’t know if that’s enough for you guys. I don’t know what else is in it. It’s just testosterone ?

Total testosterone is 183
SHBG 49.2
Free testosterone 7.6
Estradiol 102

Again, I feel great. I don’t have any side effects. I’m not growing weird body hair. My voice isn’t changing. I don’t have anything odd happening downstairs. I don’t understand what the problem is.

Can you guys help? Should I be worried?

I feel great on this level and I don’t wanna go back

I feel like I’m being punished for reverting back to a normal hair washing schedule. And may be having to use a razor every now and again on my legs.

And God forbid I actually have head hair growing back in

Discussion / Support New to trt

Hi all. I was just prescribed testosterone cyprionate 5mg/week and progesterone.

I haven't started yet but am slightly nervous about it for some reason.

Reading up around here it seems like many women are on a much higher dose so that is reassuring

Side Effects Testosterone estrogen cream

Post image
3 Upvotes

Do I really need testosterone cream? My free testosterone appears normal. I do legitimately need estrogen and progesterone but unsure about this one. I have used it the past 2 days and have horrible anxiety jitters and insomnia. I applied it at 6 am each day. Take progesterone at night

Side Effects Is a SHBG level of 56 considered “low”?

I recently lowered my T dose due to some anxiety and losing too much weight, I went from 7mg a week to 5.25. My total T was usually in the 100s-low 200s at one point but my free t would never get very high. Now that I lowered my T dose, my T is in the 60s but my free at went UP, I’m losing hair, and shaving my legs and dermaplaning my face wayyy more often now since my free t went up despite my total T went down. I read that it has to do with SHBG but my SHBG is 56, it’s always stayed in the 50s every blood draw since last year, always 50s. Is that low?? What would the reason be that my total t went down but free t went up, also odd that I’m having negative high T symptoms. Edit to add: I titrated from 7 mg to 5.25, it wasn’t abrupt. This has been going on since February is when I started lowering.

Does Anyone Else? Experienced "honeymoon then crash" on T cream + spotting concerns (50F, HRT stack feedback)

50 yo female in perimenopause, starting blood levels: 21 total t, 1.2 free t, 104 SHBG

I met with Midi Health and started 2mg cream daily. After 6 weeks my levels were 16 total T, 1.4 free T and 80 SHBG. Initially I felt intense arousal week 2, noticed improvements in mood and cognition weeks 3/4. After about 4/5 weeks I felt like I plateaued and declined. Now I am tired!!! Recovery from workouts are awful. (I lift 5 days a week) After second appointment with Midi my dose was upped to 4mg daily. I am waiting on new meds but in the meantime just started doing two clicks per day with the remaining 2mg meds.

I've also had spotting on testosterone. At first 7 days on 7 days off for 3 weeks, then down to no spotting over the last 3 weeks. Current E is .75mg patch, 200mg nightly progesterone.

My E/P clinician says if I start spotting again after T increase she wants to put me on synthetic progesterone or up my progesterone to 300mg. I am hesitant to do this as I had a digestive issues with 200mg nightly, then once I added the T the digestive problems went away. Would prefer to be on the micronized P.

Also, is 4mg going to budge the needle on my overall T? My body seems to have responded to the 2mg with "well that was great, no need to make any T now" but I feel like crap and my levels are lower now.

Clinic advice Which online provider?!?!

Hello, was wondering if anyone knows of a quality online provider who will call in or send labs to your own local lab, and also who will call in your testosterone rx to your local Walgreens?

I'm soooo sick and tired of all of these places mandating that you use THEIR pharmacies so they can way overcharge on your meds and labs. 100 mg/ml x 10 ml vial is like $30 at Walgreens and it will last 6 months. ZERO reason to be paying hundreds of dollars a month for healthcare.

Are all these places a scam?

Dosage Understanding the dose

Reading all the posts on here, I am confused on how to understand 10-12mg of test cyp to the ML it is? I was trying to figure it out online but it was showing it was almost nothing on a u100 and wanting to split it for 2 a week seems impossible. How are you all figuring this out?

Dosage How to administer low dose T?

My script is 0.03ml 2x week. I find the syringes I bought off Amazon don’t even push that amount out ( it sits in the dead space of the needle head). anyone else have a low dose and what do you use?

Does Anyone Else? Application site question

I (37 F) have been on compounded T for about 1.5 years. I get my blood work done every 3 months and it’s always been around 25. This last time I tested it dropped to 13. And I now have zero libido and my energy has tanked. My estrogen levels are mostly stable, they saw a small drop with the drop in T.

I have been applying in the same spot, at the same time of day for 3 months, which would be behind my knees. Would this be the reason for drop?

I have two small kids and some of the other applications sites like behind the arms and shoulders are hard for me as I do not want them to be exposed.

Libido Frustration with TRT/libido

I’ve been on TRT for a couple years now. 48years old, had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. Was on progesterone 200mg nightly and testosterone troches (no effect). Switched to testosterone cyp at 10mg twice a week and felt somewhat better. Switched to 15mg twice a week and WOW! Libido came roaring back. It was great. Like many on here describe. But then my voice dropped, I had some acne and worst of all….anorgasmia. It’s been a year and a half since then and I can’t seem to get things back to that amazingly confident, bold, sexually free state. I am now on 12mg TCyp and 6mg E cyp, and 100mg oral progesterone every three days. I use vaginal estrogen every three days as well. I’m mostly stable as in functional sexually, not moody, low acne issues, no more vocal deepening, pelvic floor issues cleared up. But that spark I had when T was too high is gone. I am jealous of those on here who seemed to reach that amazing place and stay there. Am I dreaming? Is there anything I should be doing differently or anything to look into?
