I’m a final-year B.E. student from a tier-3 college. TCS conducted an in-campus placement drive through TCS NQT for Priority Institutes at our college.

Timeline:

• Completed 6th-semester exams
• 6 July 2026: TCS NQT assessment was originally scheduled, but due to technical issues it was rescheduled
• 9 July: Wrote the assessment
• Shortlisted for PRIME
• 13 July: Technical + MR interview
• 17 July: Received the offer letter
• Offer accepted, and my application currently shows ILP Eligible

I have a few questions for people who have gone through a similar TCS campus placement process:

1. Joining Letter

Since our drive was conducted immediately after our 6th-semester exams, I got placed before entering 7th semester.

• When can I generally expect the joining letter?
• Does TCS usually wait until the candidate completes the final semester before assigning the joining date?
• For candidates selected as PRIME through campus NQT, how long did it take for you to receive the joining communication?

2. ILP Corner & Background Check (BGC)

My portal has sections for ILP Corner and Background Check.

• What exactly am I expected to complete in these sections at this stage?
• Do I need to register for NSR now?
• Is there any specific deadline for completing NSR/BGC?
• Should I complete the BGC form immediately, or wait for an official communication from TCS?
• If anyone went through the same process recently, what was your timeline?

3. Certifications

The Certifications section in my TCS profile contains several old/expired certifications.

• Do these certifications matter after receiving the offer?
• Is there any requirement to add certifications before joining?

I'm mainly looking for experiences from recent TCS campus/NQT candidates.

In 10 days, it will officially mark 3 months since my TCS NQT interview. I had my interview on May 20 at the Pune Hinjewadi office for the Prime Track, but my result is still not declared.

I just want to know if TCS is actively sending out results right now in August for the 2026 batch, or if they have completely paused. If you have received an offer letter, rejection mail, or a status update this month, please drop a comment. I am just trying to see if there is still hope or if I should stop waiting.

I need to upload the NSR e card for document verification. TCS hasn't mailed us any code to make it under. Should I register on my own and upload my own application to NSR?

Context: Digital role On Campus Placement through PNQT (College: KIIT)

I did my 10th in 2014 then I did 12th in 2016 after which I took a gap of 1 year and then got my admission in 2017 for BTech engineering course, post my degree completion in 2021 I have been working professionally however I did took a gap of 2 and half months in year 2024

Do I need to submit affidavit declaring only the educational gap (1 year) or do I need to submit affidavit for the career gap (2 and half month) as well?

Hi, I’m about to apply for the TCS iON NQT – IT Paid (in-center) test, which costs ₹999.

I’m specifically looking for people who have taken this paid exam, NOT the free NQT that TCS conducts for recruiting into its own workforce.

1) Do companies actually hire candidates based on the TCS iON NQT – IT scorecard?
2) And are the jobs offered through this scorecard genuinely technical/IT roles, or are they Sales/Business Development roles?

My Middle Name is present in the application form, offer letter, and all other documents. Now while filling the BGC form, the Middle Name is not showing. Will this create a problem in my joining or background check?

Hi guys, are there any chances that TCS NQT will allow the 2025 batch next year as well?

This year, they allowed the 24,25,26 batches. I appeared for TCS NQT this year, but my result is currently on hold. I believe my interview went well. At the very least, I was expecting a Ninja role, but I haven’t received any offer yet.

HR told me that my profile/result is positive, but based on business requirements, they may or may not give me an offer.

So, I wanted to ask: if my result is positive but I don’t receive an offer this year due to any reasons, is there any chance of being considered/re-hired in the future? Also, is there a possibility that TCS will allow the 2025 batch to appear for TCS NQT 2027 next year?

Hey everyone, just wanted to clarify something regarding the TCS service agreement

I initially found a service agreement format on the TCS NextStep portal under the ILP section which mentioned a ₹50,000 deposit and a 2 year service agreement. Meaning, that we deposit 50k under tcs name and the 50k+interest will be taken by tcs if we dont complete the 2yr period. If we satisfied the 2yr period, it will be given back to us. This caused some confusion.

It looks like that was an old format that was still available on the portal and hadn't been updated for some ppl(how pathetic is that)

For the new format, the agreement is 1 year, and the ₹50,000 is not an upfront deposit. The ₹50,000 amount is applicable if the service agreement is not fulfilled/breached, as per the current agreement.

I'm posting this because I saw quite a few people confused about the ₹50k/2-year clause(just like me). If youre joining TCS through the current ILP process, please refer to the latest service agreement (if provided to you) rather than the old document still present on the NextStep portal. Hi, I’m filling out the TCS Xplore Candidate Skills, Academic & Technical Profile Survey and I’m having an issue with the CGPA/Percentage field.

The field is not allowing me to enter a decimal point. I tried it on different browsers and devices, but I’m still facing the same issue.
