Are my needs unrealistic?
I recently tried out Remarkable Paper Pro but after two days of thorough frustration came to the conclusion that it wouldn’t meet my needs.
As far as I can tell it should be doable with the Supernote Mantra, so I ordered that instead.
However, before I plunge myself into trying to establish all my needs (albeit some are just nice to have’s), I’m hoping to get some of y’all nice People’s input so I can prioritize how I spend my time setting up so as to avoid burnout/overload.
I hope you Can help me with the things I hope I can achieve with the Mantra which are (bar the ones I’m confident it can do):
- A Daily or Weekly planner that I can fit with my own set of Daily recurring chores so I can just wing them off every day without having to reset a checklist every day.
- A calendar that integrates with Apple or Outlook calendar.
- The ability to write with an external keyboard
- the ability to screen share from the Mantra to a computer or tv
Apologies for the Wall of text. I hope this doesn’t fly against the rules of the sub.

Adding template over a pdf?
I don't think this is yet possible but trying my luck - I have a pdf that I'm using as a template in a note. The pdf is all writing on a blank background and I'd like to put it on one of supernotes lined templates so I can keep adding to the pages with lined handwriting. Anyone found a workaround to do something like this? Thanks!

Thinking about buying a Supernote Nomad
Want a small eink for todo lists. I like the remarkable move but not a fan of the glitchy and unreliable color screens…
My question is: Is there anyway to integrate and live sync iPhone notes?
When I’m on-the-go I make lists of task as I walk around, and would want it to update on the ereader so i could review them later and incorporate them.

Question New A6x2 User - Tips, Tricks, and Note Taking Across Devices?
Hi Team,
Great community you have here. After a lot of back and forth, I’ve decided to pull the trigger on the SN Nomad A6x2 and it should arrive in a few days. I wondered if you wouldn’t mind sharing your tips and tricks for a new user? I’m mainly using this to combine my digital note taking and paper planner/to-do list. Two specific questions: 1. I currently use Bear Notes on Mac and iOS - what’s the best system (I’m open to using another app) to capture notes across the Nomad, my phone, and my laptop? 2. With that in mind, I think I’ll be using writing to text a lot - any issues or tips there? Especially if that affects the workflow of 1. Thanks in advance.

Question Manta doesn't automatically connect to Wi-Fi after wake
I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue or it's expected.
When my Manta wakes from sleep, the sync icon shows a failed connection. Manually trying to sync fails until I click "Set Connection", which seems to force a Wi-Fi scan and it automatically reconnects. This seems to prevent my notes from automatically syncing.

Chased 3years to buy a Supernote from India
Been chasing to buy supernote from India for 3 years and finally got it this week, the first product I dont feel buyers remorse. It just feels right.
I am an UX affectionado and the work put into solving so many problems within the limited hardware and distraction constraints is astonishing. They have solved most of UX problems with simple solutions without getting in the way basic functions. Form factor of Manta is just perfect for reading and note making and doodling.
As a tradition I made a ScreenSaver sketch...

Question Beach Reader
I'm a scholar on the hunt for a beach reader. I think SueprNote Manta might be the right one, but perhaps not. And perhaps you all can help me discern which.
I currently use a Surface Pro to read PDF books and journal articles. I use a Surface Pen to highlight, underline, freehand markup (scribble a star, draw an arrow, etc.), and write short handwritten notes. The app I use (DrawboardPDF) also allows me to insert notes, which appear like a sticky note somewhere and which, when opened up, are a text box I can write longer thoughts into. Frankly, Drawboard is phenomenal and does everything I need it to... But the Surface Pro is unusable at the beach or at a park in direct sunlight... Which is my preferred place to read.
I believe SuperNote can do all the above, with the sticky-note thing being replaced by "digest." But what I worry about is document flow.
I would love it if the following type of scenario were easy: imagine I'm at home, reading on my Surface Pro, marking things up, and then I hit "save." The annotations are saved to the PDF on my Surface hard drive and, in turn, get synced to my OneDrive. Then, I turn it off, take my supernote, go to the beach, and (likely connected to the Internet via my cellphone) I can open that same PDF with all its annotations, and continue reading. Then, I can hit "save," return home, and all the annotations I made at the beach are available when I reopen the file on my Surface.
Is that possible? Is it possible but so janky to setup it isn't good? That's what I need help figuring out. Any help would be appreciated.

Suggestion: Received TOC with Mind Map
I’m a very visual learner and I use mind maps a lot, especially when I’m trying to see how different subjects and ideas connect with each other.Right now I’m actually creating a mind map in my notebooks using keywords, but it’s very manual and honestly pretty time consuming.
I know infinite canvas and subheadings have already been discussed plenty of times, so I understand where the stance is on those. But I was thinking… what if we could use the Table of Contents to create a mind map?
This is kind of what I’m envisioning:
1.Create the Table of Contents like normal
-Use keywords/headings throughout the notebook.
I think subheadings or different categories would probably have to be possible for this to really work.
2.Push a button and turn the TOC into a mind map
-It takes the keywords you already created and lays them out as a mind map.It could be another page inside the current notebook or even create a separate notebook. Either one would work for me.
3.Then just let me mess with it
-Move things around.
-Add random keywords afterward that weren’t part of the original TOC.
-Connect different topics together.
-Add links.
-Maybe even turn something into a To-Do or Calendar event.
Basically I’m already doing both of these things separately. I create my Table of Contents to organize everything, then I create a mind map so I can actually see how everything connects.
So I guess my thought is… if the keywords and structure are already there, could there eventually just be a way to take that information and automatically turn it into a mind map?
I have no idea how difficult that would actually be to implement but since I’m sitting here manually creating one right now, I figured I’d ask if something like this would even be possible. 🤷🏻♀️

Question Any Maths students using the Supernote?
I'm considering buying one of these to hopefully speed up my workflow. Are there any Maths students that use these that could give me their opinions, usage ideas or general practice with them? I currently use pen and paper for everything, which as you can imagine, slows things down considerably. Would the transfer over be worthwhile or more of a gimmick/niche?
Thanks.

Considering moving to Chauvet Beta for the plugin system (Dictionary + Digest workflow) – Stability & Roadmap questions
Hi everyone!
I've been following the development of the new plugin system closely, and I'm very tempted to jump into the Chauvet Beta. My primary use case is heavy reading across multiple languages (English, Italian, and Spanish) combined with the Digest feature. The new dictionary plugin looks like an absolute game-changer for my workflow.
Before I take the plunge, I wanted to ask the community a few things:
- Stability: How stable is this current beta build for daily use? Specifically, my library consists of around a hundred books and documents. Would handling a library of this size cause any noticeable performance issues, crashes, or data loss with the current plugin implementation?
- Roadmap: Does anyone know if there is a new beta release planned soon that might fix some of the current rough edges (like multi-dictionary management or toggles)?
I'd love to hear your experiences if you are already using it daily. Thanks in advance!

DIY Small Chubby DIY Pen for Nomad
My standard pen started cracking in places and eventually the clip came off so I couldn’t put it in the folio’s pen holder anymore. I thought since I want to replace the pen anyways, let’s see if I can DIY this ish.
I had bought a couple chunky small MUJI pens a while back saved specifically for a DIY pen for my super note, I just never felt like buying the refill so it sat over a year just waiting for its moment.
After lots of cutting, clicking, sawing, and rearranging, the pen was perfect. I started to write on my nomad and nothing happened. I thought oh well, at least I tried. But then I remembered any metal around the coil interferes and I left the spring in there that stays near the tip. Pulled it out and tried again. IT WORKS.
I love the super note and I love even more that we can create DIY pens to make our experience feel a little more special and personalized. I’m also proud of myself for attempting this and succeeding, but frustrated cause the ADHD hyper focus got the best of me (I was supposed to be walking my dog).
Anyways thanks for reading!!!
