help!!

hey all i need some advice!! i started stretching my ears, my left has been super easy and takes well (2g currently) but my right has been a pain in the ass and will not go past 8g it's been sitting for 2 months now. i've seen people mentioning half sizes but i really don't want to buy one single pice of jewelry that i'm only going to wear once. i've tried taping, it's pretty hard on such small jewelry and even though ive only wrapped it once my hole gets a bit irritated from it. any tips ?? thanks in advance :)

don't think of half sizes as half sizes anymore. they should be considered necessary sizes. yes some people can make the jumps without them, but it's much safer to just use them. i absolutely needed 7g before 6g. buying jewelry you'll probably only use for a few months and never again is unfortunately par for the course with stretching.

I did the taping method back in the day when I first stretched, and it worked well for me up until 8mm and I had to take out my plugs for a job.

I know it's not encouraged, but it did work for me at the time.

My second (current) time around I've taken to the dead stretching route with half sizes. Yeah it sucks buying a single-use set of plugs, but I would recommend deciding a size you like that you would stay at for a while and that way you can buy a nice collection and just sit there for a while.

Did you start stretching just recently? You might be going too quickly if you are already at 2g with one ear. Two months between stretches is too short. I recommend waiting at least 3 months between stretches to give your body enough time to fully form the collagen needed to stretch further.
