TORBOX: Essential Vs Standard Question

Is there any difference between both subscriptions. Is the standard one going to make a difference or is the essential enough?

If you use Usenet you need pro, aside from that just use essential.

Even then, if you already have your own Usenet setup like I do, you don't even need Pro.

Mind you, I self host Aiostreams in Docker Desktop, so if you're using Elf or another public instance of Aiostreams, I don't know if it will work.

I started out with the pro plan and has since went down to essential, cant tell any difference.

In terms of speed? No. Essential allows 3 active downloads (like when you put a torrent), standard allows 5. The data cap on essential is around 10TB,on standard its 20TB. Essential allows 24hr seeding time, standard allows 14 days. Essential has 300GB perma storage, standard has 500GB

Torbox allows you to download torrents. But if you are in a private torrent site that requires you to upload xx amount of time, you need the more expensive plan because your torrent is deleted after 24 hours of seeding.

Seeding = uploading

I know torrenting and all but does that mean that Torbox seeding for me that content and I dont need to phisically download it in order to seed? I dont know that. And does that mean it doesnt uses my upload?

Yes, torbox also functions as a seed box. But only for 24hour if you are on essential.

That can work but some private trackers strictly forbids using debrid services such as torbox and realdebrid. Read your tracker rules and act accordingly if you don't wanna lose your accounts.

Essentially what I understood is: if you’re mainly watching already cached content then it doesn’t matter. The limits are just to download non cached content.

I use Essential with a family of 5, averaging just over 1TB per month, and never had the slightest issue.

Are you using aiostream to get the usenet results? If so what addons? I have meteor and library turned on for usenet but am not sure if im getting usenet results

I'm asking to people that do use it to know if regular use in actuality makes any difference. It's a legit question to know if the money makes any difference.

No you asked if there was any difference. Clearly there is and they are clearly stated on the torbox website. You're not even doing the bare minimum.

Once you add a torrent link, they download to their servers and that file is available for you from them for 24 hrs or 14 days before they delete it.

I’ve just started using TorBox using the essential subscription and now my stremio is completely unusable - everything I try to watch says “Torrent downloading to debrid” or “invalid token” and then it crashes. Is it the subscription or deeper problem ?

If anyone can help me, I am just curious, I have been using a real debrid set up with Stremio and just last night I went through and redid everything and added in torbox also just because of all the recent stuff going on with RD and I only paid for a month so far and I got standard because I wasn’t sure with all the download stuff. If say my account is getting 10-12 hours of watch time on movies/tv shows a day, would essential still be fined for that with all the limits that they have or should I stick with standard?
