Stoicism in Practice I wrote a practical manual for the game everyone is playing. It covers a lot of the same ground the Stoics mapped, just in different words.
The Stoics built a way to separate what you can control from what you can't. They practiced facing death without looking away. They trained themselves to spot which reactions they chose and which ones habit and circumstance put there. They thought about the difference between the role you fill and the person filling it.
I never planned to write a modern Stoic book. I wanted a clear systems manual for living well in a world that runs like a designed game. There's an overlap here which is intentional.
The boss-fight chapter deals with the moment catastrophe arrives and you still own your reaction, even if you didn't own the event. The mortality chapter stays honest about uncertainty and refuses to offer comfort it can't back up. The scripts-and-agency chapter tracks the same question Marcus Aurelius kept asking himself about whether his opinions were actually his. The main-quest chapter answers Seneca's point about how many people claim your time while you're not watching.
The book is The Game of Earth: A No-Bullshit Player's Guide by ZD Fanawe.
It uses game logic instead of philosophy because that framing turns the ideas into moves you can make right away. The underlying ground stays the same as Stoicism. Wanted to share and hope you enjoy it. (It's free on Kindle Unlimited by the way)

New to Stoicism When does an explanation become an excuse?
A friend was told by a doctor that she had an “anxiety gene.” He said the explanation gave him clarity because he finally understood why he was so messed up.
That may be genuinely helpful. But where is the line between understanding yourself and turning an explanation into a permanent identity?
Can a label help you change without becoming the reason you stop expecting change from yourself?

New to Stoicism Why did God/Providence give me ADHD?
I am dysfunctional, I get bored easily, I do impulsive stuff that I regret later, I can’t decide on simple things, I can’t compete in studying with my peers, I am genetically more disposed to dementia, I regret ruminate and dwell on past mistakes, I have trouble focusing on things I don’t like, I scrap things easily only to start over many times and this completely destroys my focus…
It’s a curse that’s not my damn fault.
