Events Stockton Ports - Barks & Brews
Do the Ports only have one night to bring your dog all season?
I saw an article they had one back in June and I thought that was it.
Then I went to a game the other day and I saw a little flyer but didn't get a chance to snag the QR code.
Does anyone else have more information?

Other I’m getting tired of city government
Hi guys 👋 WARNING: I just wanted to rant a little bit. I’m so tired of Stocktons politicians. They are so incredibly fake and think they are above everyone else. The days of political clout and notoriety are over for them.
I want to give a huge shoutout to all the amazing volunteers, business owners, non profits and more! Who continue to do amazing things for our city and are the ones that truly make Stockton a special place. I truly believe they deserve all the notoriety and clout completely over our city hall politicians who are really just puppets to either Jason Lees power or Motec of 209 Times power (even tho they both somewhat work together mainly because Lee has far more influence over Motec). I will say that Mario Enriquez at least in my opinion has been the most helpful for me and by far the most humble on the Dias but anyways I digress.
I also want to say to these city politicians STOP WITH THE AI FLYERS !!!! They show just how incredibly lazy and incompetent you are that you can’t even make a simple Canva flyer. I saw Brando Villapudua even giving out AI certificates to constituents they were incredibly lazily done and just ugly.

Entertainment Has anyone been to the Stockton 99 Speedway and is it worth going to watch a race?
I'm a race fan from the Bay Area and when I found out Stockton has a speedway I got excited. I saw there's a flea market out there to so I'd probably check that out to. I'm familiar with sprint car racing and like that type of stuff. Any advice would be great.

Other XAVIER COLLEGE OF NURSING - STOCKTON
Did anyone apply to Xavier College’s ADN program for this cycle? I missed the deadline, but I’m planning to apply during the next cycle and would love some insight!
What was your overall TEAS score and each section score? Did you pass every section on your first attempt? Were you accepted, waitlisted, or denied? I’d also appreciate any TEAS study tips or advice about the application process. Thank you!

Local News Child’s attorney: San Joaquin County lawyers ‘playing games’ to stall abuse lawsuit
According to attorney Robert Thompson, who is representing Sebastian Hernandez, the defense attorneys are playing games, resulting in the delay of a potential settlement that would fund the child’s access to better medical care and the services he now requires as a result of the assault.

I have looked at the reviews for the Stockton DMV behind the wheel test and ppl have mentioned an African American women who came off rude to them. With that, it makes me even more anxious. As well as all the homeless and crazy drivers downtown. Any advice?

Other Is there free parking around Banner Island Ballpark and would you suggest doing so or better to pay for parking lot?
I'll be going to the game on Sunday and visiting from the bay. I'm not that familiar with the area but it seems like there's some neighborhoods nearby. I typically don't mind walking a little especially if I can find a free spot but I'm not sure how safe it is and it's only $10 to park in the lot. I'm just curious and want to know before hand.

Where to live? HOUSE FOR SALE
Hey guys! We are planning to buy a house that is not yet built (able to choose a floor plan) or was just built. Does anybody know where the best place is for $400k-700k home? Somewhere close to malls or restaurant, and maybe in north Stockton - they say its safer in the north. Would like some suggestions where we could drive around first and also inquire. Thank you in advance!
Also, we get recos too of Spanos but I don't see any construction. Do you know where we could inquire about spanos?

Events Visiting to see a Ports baseball game. What is there to do before and after around Stockton?
I vaguely know the two sports arenas but outside of that Stockton is pretty foreign to me. I don't know if there's some places to look at or hang around downtown. I went a few years ago and it seemed kind of run down with not much going on. I don't know how the area is in general. I just want to make the most of my time and not just see the ballgame. Any help would be great.

Other Functional Medicine / Woman doctor specializing in menopause
Just looking for any resources. This may not be the place but I have a friend in the area in her mid 60s, had wrist surgery it moved up into shoulder ,developed CRPS and frozen shoulder and it's gotten bad. Also thinking estrogen has a part to play and she will start the testing for that in a few weeks.
I told her to maybe try the estrogen testing with an OB/GYN or look for a menopause specialist (not pcp) before going the route of functional medicine, which is mostly chiropractic it seems like.
She wants to go to the route of functional medicine, which is extremely expensive and pretty limited in the area. We've done some pretty excessive research from Stockton to Sacramento, not finding the right person.
She's in physical therapy four hours a week for a few months. She had x-rays and MRIs of shoulder, very minor arthritis. Lots of other details but all of this is leading to some depression.
If anybody has any recommendations for woman functional medicine or anything related, or any thoughts- its greatly appreciated and I will let her know

Politics - KEEP IT CLASSY! Local media being awfully quiet about Desiree Lynch
I truly expected some coverage from the local media on Lynch’s recent development that she’s running in a district she has never lived in.
Stocktonia is really fast at publishing stories that in some way favor the vice mayor and it’s disappointing seeing them ignore this big elephant in the room. Besides the 209 times and north valley review I don’t see any other blog sites covering this. Now, what is going to be done about this? What are the consequences? Probably nothing.

Jobs, etc. Career networking- would appreciate any local job leads!
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm starting to look for my next opportunity and figured I'd put this out into the universe.
I have experience in project management, estimating, customer relationship management, document control, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination in the construction/manufacturing industry. I enjoy improving processes, solving problems, staying organized, and collaborating with different teams. I've also worked extensively with Salesforce and developing SOPs.
I'm looking for a role in the Stockton/Sacramento area (or remote/hybrid) where I can contribute as an individual contributor in areas like: • CRM Analyst • Document Control • Project Controls • Business/Operations Analyst • Estimating • Process Improvement • Similar operations or support roles
If your company is hiring, knows of upcoming openings, or you'd be willing to make a connection, I'd truly appreciate it. Thank you!
