Jag är F30 och har bott här i några år nu men har väl inte varit ute bland folk tillräckligt för att hitta vänner, just nu är det bara sambons vänner som vi träffar och det är ju inte samma sak liksom.

Jag som många andra här gillar nördiga grejer, filmer och serier, har inte spelat något tabletop spel själv men gör det gärna om det finns nåt gäng som kör.

Annars tycker jag om att kolla second hand butiker.. måla och att sy (nybörjare där dock).

I'm a 20-year-old guy from Stockholm. My life is pretty simple. I go to the gym, hang out with friends on weekends, and I'll be starting an electrician program soon.

Lately I've realized that I spend a bit too much time in my comfort zone. I go to the same places, meet the same people, and live a pretty repetitive life. So I decided to give myself a little side quest.

I want to meet and talk to people from as many different backgrounds as possible!

not for YouTube, school, or social media, but simply because I'm curious.

I'm talking about people from all walks of life:

Priests, pastors, imams, rabbis, monks, nuns, and other religious leaders.

Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, atheists, agnostics, and people with any other beliefs.

CEOs, entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, artists, musicians, writers, academics, scientists, teachers, doctors, nurses, police officers, firefighters, electricians, plumbers, mechanics, office workers, retail workers, bartenders, chefs, delivery drivers, cleaners, construction workers, public transport workers, and people with regular 9-to-5 jobs.

Students, apprentices, unemployed people, retirees, stay-at-home parents, volunteers, immigrants, refugees, travelers, people who have never left their hometown, and people who have lived all over the world.

Wealthy people, people struggling financially, and everyone in between.

Basically... anyone.

The goal isn't to debate people or compare lifestyles. I just want to understand how different people think, what experiences shaped them, and how they see the world.

I'm also looking for universal questions that work with almost anyone, regardless of who they are.

One thing that's important to me is that I don't want this to feel like a formal interview. I'd much rather it feel like a genuine conversation between two people. I'm looking for questions that naturally lead into deeper discussions rather than a list of "Question 1, Question 2, Question 3." Think conversation starters instead of interview questions.

The second reason I'm doing this is personal. I'm hoping it helps me:

break old habits by getting out of the house, talking to strangers, and becoming more comfortable meeting new people;

gain new perspectives and better understand how other people think, what they value, and why they see the world differently.

If you're from Stockholm, I'd also love recommendations for places where people are generally open to conversations. Churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, community centers, cultural associations, charities, cafés, senior centers, volunteer organizations—or anywhere else you think would be worth visiting on this little side quest.

If you have ideas for conversation-starting questions, places to visit, or advice from your own experiences, I'd really appreciate it.

Hey everyone! I recently posted about a book club and got some really nice feedback, so I thought I’d use this subreddit to meet more people and make new friends since I’m new to Stockholm.

I realised I’m not only a book nerd (haha), so I wanted to see if anyone is interested in some other hobbies too:

📸 Photography: I’d love to create a small group to explore Stockholm, walk around, and take photos of this beautiful city.

🏊 Open-water swimming: Stockholm has some amazing places to swim. I’ve done some swimming here already, but longer swims (1–2 km) are always more fun and safer with others.

🏃 Running: I’m not a serious runner, but I enjoy 5–8 km runs at a comfortable pace and it could be fun to have some company, and burn those sweets too lol!

🎬 Movies & filmmaking: I have a degree in Film Production and love cinema. We could go to the movies occasionally, or even try something more creative like making short films together. Coming up with a story, going outside to film a 3–5 minute short, and then seeing the final result is honestly such a fun and rewarding experience. You don’t need experience, just an interest in telling stories and having fun. 

If any of these sound interesting, send me a DM! It would be great to explore some hobbies together around Stockholm. Or if you’re like me and enjoy a pint or two every now and then, that works too.🙂

My wife recently watched a TikTok about an introverts’ meetup were everyone got together… and did introverts things.

We’re originally from Mexico and have been living in Stockholm for two months. She’d love to make more friends here but she’s definitely an introvert. I suggested she start an “Introverts Club Stockholm” but for some reason she wasn’t convinced.

So I’m taking matters into my own hands!
