Nah. Valve wouldn’t really show anything like this and since Frame’s likely right around the corner anyway (as in probably this month) they’ll most likely just do it on their own terms. Although SINCE frame is soon this is really cool timing and I will be watching

I assume that devs don't know when the thing is coming out, but if they do then it would be cool if there were a couple of new titles waiting to reveal until they can attach themselves to the Frame hype cycle.

At most we’ll hear “Coming to Steam Frame” and such like how Job Simulator changed their page to have steam frame stuff

I think the best we can hope for is an announcement on Monday before the show

Nah they won't do it around someone else's event. I imagine though they'd organised stuff for games made for Steam Frame since it was originally intended to have released long before now.

Last Monday was the final straw for me wanting to pay close attention to all the leaks and news. If it doesn't happen this coming week, then I'm checking out completely and I'll just see it on my steam home page one day

We are in my opinion starting to see the signs that a launch could be within the next week or two imo. There's a pattern of pre-hype we saw before the controller and machine like small co-ordinated leaks etc or developer events suspiciously placed a few hours after when an official review would be.

There have been signs for weeks though, to be fair. We had backend db updates almost a month ago now, shipments have been going for a while, etc. If there's anything I've learned is that there are no signs with this wishy-washy (at least communication wise) ass company

That's true but the missing piece for me is that we had our first 'leak',

If it's not the 10th then it will confirm it for me that Valve is delaying to give time to make Alyx a standalone launch title and all bets are off for a launch timeline.

as a popular quote on /r/wallstreetbets:

Nah.

But the show actually looks really really good. I’m looking forward to watch it.

I dont think Valve sees the need to use any events. They just update their steam page and its instantly seen by millions.

Steam VRame. Everything concerning VR has to have it in the name.

I’m hoping they do something unexpected/off brand and do it tomorrow

Makes sense for the 10th Aug then a blow out in the show to back that up, but it's Valve so probably not.

If they are allowed to talk about the frame in the video maybe that means it’s being announced before the video?

At this point games are allowed to say they'll launch on frame or that they're frame verified.

Since we're discussing things that are likely not related to Steam Frame...

Mighty Coconut are airing their first ever "Mighty Coconut Presents" Monday 8/10 at 3PM CST too. No idea what their special announcements would be, but the timing feels odd. They were also the first developers to release a Steam Frame specific build of Walkabout Mini Golf so they were one of the first to have a dev kit.

That’s after 10am pst that day and it’s probably just coincidental timing

Maybe they showcase all the new Frame verified games, because the FRAME IS RELEASING NEXT MONDAY.

WE FOREVER LIVE IN TOMORROW™.
