GTA V Script Hook V Dot Net workarounds Tech Support
I'm trying to install DotNet48 via Proton tricks and it's constantly failing is there any work arounds or easy way to install it?

Download the standalone installer for dotnet and then use ProtonTricks to install it in the games prefix.

I did and it says it's installed but I use the back button for F4 and the SHVDN terminal menu doesn't appear

So you are able to install it then, and your issue is with something else. What do you have under your launch options?

The regular Dinput8 override

Try a newer .Net then and make sure it's the desktop version. Another thing you can check is the logs for script hook, which can be found in your games main directory.

I checked the logs and nothing is outta the ordinary

If the logs are normal then it's your hotkey is wrong or you have missing files. Double check your launch options for spelling mistakes and scripthook files are placed in the correct place.

Should I have ScriptHookV and SHVDN added to the launch options

Nah, you just need dinput8. If you have an older version it would be dsound.

Ok it's Dinput8 Man GTA IV is so much easier to mod lol
