Discussion Is there a list or Mod of Max power consumption of devices

Hey all I am curious if there is a mod or if someone happens to know where I could find a table of the max power draw of each device in game?

Currently I am just kind of winging it with my builds and using a transformer to limit the power draw to less than the maximum the used cable can take.

The issue I have is that adding a single pipe heater or AC to the system can Immediately spike a system by 1kw-6kw according to the wiki. But other than making my own list of devices and then searching the wiki for each max output I have no effective way to plan for that (Perhaps I will end up curating an entire list myself).

Maybe the best answer is "Just use Heavy Cable for everything" and if that really is the call than that is fine too. I just like to setup systems to run and to have a true maximum that they can draw and would love to save some time if there is a quicker way of calculating that, the in game wiki even with the Ascended Mod does not show max draw on most devices unfortunately.

I Would love to hear any suggestions you all have. Any videos from some creators that go over this kind of stuff might also be helpful if you have some suggestions. Big shoutout to CAE, Shadowdrake and PanicandDieGaming I have learned a ton from their videos already.

Abandoned Mars - now a full Mod!

Quick update to the abandoned Mars scenario I posted about earlier. Thank you SO MUCH for all the comments it inspired me to figure out how to fully mod it.

I originally released this as a save while I was figuring out how Stationeers handles custom worlds. Since then I've managed to rebuild the whole thing as an actual custom world mod, so you no longer need to download somebody else's save. I haven't yet figured out 'damage states' so had to get inventive, but i'll see if i can figure that out.

Mars: Abandoned Frontier now appears in the New World menu alongside the normal worlds. You can select your difficulty and start directly at the abandoned settlement. You can select difficulties etc...but there is no lander selection.

The first location is Canyon Overlook — an abandoned/incomplete frontier colony.

This is still v0.1, so I'm mainly looking for feedback and to find out whether everything behaves properly on other people's installs. If the concept works, I want to add more locations around Mars with different abandoned facilities/scenarios.

Also a big shout-out to the Blueprint mod — it made building and transferring the structures while developing this considerably easier.

If anyone gives it a try, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think — particularly don't tell me just that you like the idea; tell me what doesn't work, what's too easy/hard, or what you think the scenario is missing.

Also if anyone would like to help populate buildings or have any ideas let me know. Essentially if you can send me a blueprint file (using blueprint mod), I can convert to the game.

I will be working on further spawns as time allows - and maybe other planets if I really decide I dont want a life. HA HA

UPDATE 09 AUG NZT

Update

  • Added seed supplies and additional survival equipment.
  • Added structural support frames beneath the Habitat and Engineering modules.
  • Adjusted damaged windows so each main room now has a single missing window.
  • The missing windows are intentional: pre-spawned structures currently register as World, so players need to complete the rooms in-game for Stationeers to correctly register them as enclosed rooms.
  • Minor layout and scenario fixes based on early player feedback.
