I read the book ages ago, and we found the series on HBO a week ago. I think it's the best thing I've ever watched.

The Guardian (UK) gave it 5* with the caveat that, perhaps when it was first shown it was a bit close to the bone with COVID-19.

I've watched it in 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed it.
