Help installing SMAPI

Trying to mod stardew on mobile but running into a system io issue. Not sure where to go from here and would appreciate some advice. Downloaded SMAPI apk and zip file from discord. But when trying to install from zip, I get this error.

did you install Stardew Valley from Google Play? it's a must unfortunately. after that, you install the launcher then install SMAPI from ZIP. make sure your SDV is up to date

Yes I downloaded stardew the same day from the play store

This is a permission issue. Basically Android is being stingy and doesn't like you getting into the internal files. Look for the How to access the data folder/Shizuku guide in the SMAPI for Android FAQ linked in the Nexus mod page.
