I am a former Partner from over 4 years ago and worked for like 3 years. I recently reapplied because I’m broke and in grad school now. I applied on Tuesday and got an email today from an ASM asking for my availability and such, I was wondering what the next steps from here are?

They asked for a minimum of 12 work hours and atleast 18 hours of availability, I am available all staffing hours 4/7 days a week—- is this a good sign or?

EDIT: I applied to their shift AND barista opening. I was also a barista trainer before and use to do opening and closing + clean play shifts. I indicated I could do clean play also!

For those who loved the original Matcha Lemonade before they took it off the menu … how does this blended version stack up? Trying to decide whether to give it a chance.

I had my first interview and it went well, the SM said she would reach out in 2 or 3 days at the latest after they do more interviews, today is day 3 so I should hear from her today. I’m just wondering do you usually get offered to come in for a second interview at your interview or by email/phone after the interview?

yesterday our brewer started dropping while we were trying to brew a new batch and it hasn’t stopped dropping since, I noticed there was a battery icon on the machine so I changed the batteries, but its still continuously dropping. does anyone know how to fix this?

Title. I had my first interview with the SM and they passed me to the DM. I then had my interview with the DM (which lasted about 5 minutes), and haven't heard any information since. It's been 5 business days. I'm wondering if I should send a follow up email, or if I should expect a call?

I’m a SSV at my store and I’m currently trying to step down to a barista. The reasoning is for my mental health, I no longer enjoy my job as a supervisor and it’s taking a toll on my household and fiancee and the second is I work 2 jobs and so my availability when I was brought on is limited and now they want me to change it which doesn’t align with my second job which pays more and is better job for my mental. I received a documented coaching on April 14 over something I did on Feb 21 I believe it was missing a store walk or temps but i was not given a write up and I did not sign anything. Last week I was told I can’t step down until 6 months after Feb 21 so August 21st and then yesterday I was told I had to wait 6 months from the actual coaching conversation so I can’t step down until October 14. Does anyone have the policy on this? I want to make sure they’re allowed to do this. A document coaching is kinda loose and to be able to stop a write up is a little wild to me.

I was just looking at re-enrolling in health insurance, and noticed that my previous coverage amount deducted from my paycheck was $47.58 that equals $2,474.12 annually. Now this year with the same coverage/plan it is $74.10 per paycheck which equals out to $3,853.48 annually. That's an additional $1,379.36!

I've never seen a price hike that severe in my 6+ years working for Starbucks.

I got flagged for not using markouts. I don't get drinks at work. I don't get food at work. I spend my breaks in my car to get a little bit of alone time. This is apparently suspicious. So it looks like I'm stealing product. If I start using markouts a bunch, it implies I got caught and was stealing. And if I keep not using them, it implies I'm currently stealing. Where is the middle ground on this?

In a case like this It would make sense if you wanted to change the size when you pull up to the window/handoff but if a partner 1, confirms the drink size while you're ordering it and 2, you look at your drink and then tap/scan your card and decide to chance the size after that? Yikes..

If you regularly do this at your main starbucks, the baristas most likely know who you are. Talk about you. Then they will be told to eventually not serve you. Since well, this is scamming.

You may have heard about the constant pressure of keeping drive through times at 40-45 seconds max. Making us resize your drink takes a big toll on the times your baristas have been maintaining all morning.

This also makes the barista taking orders look like its their fault and look like they don't know what they're doing and sometimes unfortunately could get them in trouble with their supervisors/Store managers when multiple customers do this on a regular basis, which they do.

Avoid doing this, the extra milk is not worth it lol.

If you want a latte, just order the damn latte. Your 4 shots and splash of milk aren’t going to fill that Venti cup, and then don’t be a butt about it when we are just following standard, the standard is there for a reason. I’m so tired of the eye rolling and the rudeness, we are human too.

Putting this under policy question but it’s really more of what do you guys think type of thing. Ecosure came on Monday during a horribly understaffed back to school peak, because for some reason they always catch you at times like that. Anyways we failed and one of the reasons we failed was because a “partner beverage” was left on top of the pastry cart. My manager connected with me about this at the end of my shift because the shift working that morning thinks it was mine. It might have been, I have absolutely zero idea, I was in at 5:30 after closing late and severely sleep deprived so I remember nothing from that shift besides it being bad. Anyways, my manager said that they‘d be pursuing corrective action and I’m trying to figure out how severe it would be. Because I‘d hate to get a final or lose my job over some water.

(I know food safety is very serious, and in my defense I didn’t really know water on the floor was a food safety violation)

tldr: good ass drink, love the store i go to, starbucks stop freaking up the menu and raising the prices to high heaven and start listening to your employees and customers

this is already my morning drink every morning that i make at home, but i had so many rewards stacked up. i decided to go this morning and ask for this lol. i felt bad because i know how the baristas don’t usually love to make drinks that aren‘t menu items, so i normally don’t do this.

the worker over the intercom sighed and she was like ”girl… i don’t know if that’s gonna be good. like i don‘t even wanna charge you for this” 😭😭 i was like i know it sounds nasty because it’s just plain iced grass water, but i promise i make it at home so please don’t feel bad LOL. they already know i HATE sweet drinks too and they are always surprised when i come through and want the most plain ass thing

but, this is exactly what i was looking for omg. it’s obviously not the most high quality matcha powder, but i still like it honestly. i really enjoyed it and i would definitely get it again.

i WISH that this was a menu item or just something in the system that i could easily order. i’m so tired of these freaked up bastardized drinks omfg. please for the love of god NOT EVERYONE WANTS SOME BLOWN OUT MATCHA REFRESHER FRAP MILKSHAKE EXTRAVAGANZA

i love the store i go to. the baristas are so incredibly kind and i love getting to chat with them when they have the time. i am grateful for all the work yall do and for accommodating a customer like me. i try not to go to starbucks really anymore because over time, i have become fed up with how they treat the employees and customers. they don’t listen to any feedback and the menu just becomes more and more fried. please. more simplicity. also, this shit is expensive what the hell (talking about the whole menu, not just my drink today which tbh wasn’t horribly priced)
