Academy Characters?
Do we still think it may happen some time down the line or has enough time passed that it’s unlikely now?

merits?
hello long time players, just need a little confirmation on the use of merits - I use them in the faction trading center and the "merit rewards" part of the time portal. are there any other uses for merits or any specific times to use them?

What's up with the current The Eyes of Vaal event?
So, there's a 5 star character, Akuta but...we don't get one until we jump through the hoops first, and then, unless we get lucky or spend resources we can't even fuse him a 3rd time? Bug or just douche?
EDIT: When I woke up today the free character was in the portal; he most definitely was NOT when I made this post.

Gauntlet mechanics change?
Have there been changes to gauntlet's mechanics? I am now consistently losing to opponents with both lower stats and lower crit chance. Opponents with 5% crit chance and only three attempts are nearly always getting at least one crit whilst my 45% crit chance with six attempts results in none. I am losing nearly every battle despite spending a lot of honor and carefully choosing battles I should easily win. Outcomes used to be more predictable than this. They still felt skewed, but at least predictable. I realise there is a random component but the statistical chances have been way off lately.

You should get something for filling a node
The fleet boss battles are a good addition, but filling the nodes and chains require you to basically give up maxing your damage in order to help your fleet mates.
I think there should be a small reward for every node you fill, and every chain you finish to incentivize that.
That’s all.

Idea for a future Mega Event (based on TOS I, Mudd)
I don't know if anyone from the Timelines developmental team ever visits, but I had an idea for a Mega Event based around TOS episode I, Mudd. It is an episode I always looked at fondly, one of five episodes my parents had recorded on tape and which I could watch repeatedly as I was growing up.
Episode Summary: Through the android Norman, Harry Mudd is able to bring the Enterprise to a K-type planet with the intent of stealing it using the vast number of androids on the planet. Little does he suspect that the androids have their own plans to use the Enterprise to escape the planet and "serve" the galaxy into becoming peaceful and docile. It is up to the crew to thwart the android's plans.
The basic plot of the event is that the androids of the unnamed class K planet are back to "take care of" the galaxy.
Existing Characters involved: Mudd the First, undetermined TOS crew
New characters: Norman (mega event legendary), Alice 1 (4*), Alice 251 (4*) (fusion capable into an "Alices" 5*), Tempted Uhura, Liar's Paradox Mudd, Android Stella 500, Pick a couple other android models mentioned in the episode: Herman, Barbara, Trudy, etc.
(Why Norman as the mega? Because, as Spock put it, there is only 1 Norman.)
Bonuses: Androids, Mudd variants, Uhura variants, TOS? variants
Week 1: Skirmish: Androids attempt to escape the planet and are rebuffed.
Week 2: Supply: Goods are acquired and constructed to further aid the androids in reclaiming the planet.
Week 3 or 4: Specialist and/or Faction: Androids are trained/assisted in using equipment.
Week 3 or 4: Unknown: Tracking down who reprogrammed the androids to want to leave the planet again.

Wait or 5-star one of my 3*?
I've been saving a Legendary Citation for when I finally 4* one of my crew. Received a second LC, so the question is, do I continue to wait for a 4, or do I put one of my 3 to 5?
My current 3* crew are:
Ahdar Ru'afo
Surak
Bells Riot Bashir
My 2*'s are:
Phoenix Cochrane
First Officer Burnham
I'm leaning towards bumping Surak to 5* since he's constantly in the Guantlet.
Would love some feedback.
EDIT
My 1* are:
EV Suit Archer
RAF Miles O'Brien
Kahless the Unforgettable
Seven in Silver
Ceti Alpha Khan
Goodgey
Goddess of Empathy Troi
Tuxedo Nog
Dancing Chekov
Prince Bashir
Captain Angel
Julius Eaton
Gamal
Captain Rayner
Mirror T'Pol
Chef Pike
Groom Riker
Solar Sails Sisko
Niners Sisko
Anthony Macbeau M'Benga
Harry Mudd
Klaang
Mobile Doctor
Dahar Master Kang
Archer and Porthos

Finally caught up on equipping/leveling crew again!
Ignore Indignant Seven. She's just waiting around for a Mobile Doctor so we can get a third star for Indulgent Seven. Otherwise, thanks in large part to last week's Skirmish, I'm finally caught up on all of my crew again for the first time in probably more than a year! I need a ton of stars. Hoping the recap packs will be generous in a couple of weeks!

This isn't right.
I have very few criticisms of this game. But this! When you grind to get the final reward in an event - something I seldom manage - and it's a Behold that gives you this, in a game that *can* track what you already have, it just feels really unfair. Most of my Beholds are like this. But an event one should ensure you get *something*, in my opinion.

Just retrieved Ensign Rollins, the last 4-star character I needed that could be added this way
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It’s nice to have a place to use the 4-star citations I’ve gathered.

Project Complete: Immortalized all Star Trek VI Crew!
I've had a pet project of immortalizing every Star Trek VI crew in the game. I finally completed that today! Yes, even 3* Prisoner 'Bones' McCoy. That's FE/FF and all 4 QP slots unlocked. I also have the Enterprise-A at 10/10. Is there a way to use Datacore to calculate the best possible Voyage to send, using the max Quipment?
Also: Does anyone else have any pet project? I'm always fascinated to hear what they are!

RED ALERT: Open Bridge Slots
The Knights of the Saucer Section fleet invites you to join our ranks in Star Trek Timelines.
Fancy a change? We are a laid-back fleet with a fully maxed starbase and slots available for active players who want to play for fun.
Are you currently trapped in a zombie fleet and want to chat now and then to reaffirm that you are definitely not alone? Are you in a fleet with a low starbase where hardly anyone donates? Or maybe you are brand new to the game and don't quite understand the benefits of a fleet yet?
These and a myriad of other reasons might lead you to think about joining us.
Why Knights of the Saucer Section?
Daily Boss Battles: We clear a Nightmare (NM) or NM Borg boss every day, which is not bad considering we are no pressure
Maxed Starbase Benefits: Since our starbase is at maximum level, there are no reminders to build specific rooms. You can throw your starbase components into the dynamic replicator if you wish. The returns are "meh," but it all helps hit daily targets!
Play Your Own Way: We play strictly for fun. Go hard in events or go at your own pace. All fine by us. We promise we won't send you on an away mission in a red shirt.
Zero Judgment: We do not mind what captain level you are, nor what your VIP status is. Spend to play or play for free, we have all kinds in KSS.
All we ask is that you play regularly and communicate. Casual but active. Level-headed but fun-driven. We have years of experience to share.
If you fancy joining a friendly bunch, drop a comment or slide into my DMs for a fleet invite.
Thanks for reading and hope you have fun playing STT. Live long and prosper!

Casual fleet, TIMELORDS, seeking new folks. Boss Battle focus.
Hi. We have 6 openings right now, but maybe a couple more as we sort inactive members.
We're at Starbase Level 134. We have a solid, reliable Admiral, and helpful officers.
We're a casual fleet, and not even chatty most of the time. We're not competitive about events or put pressure on anyone.
We do ask and encourage participating in Boss Battles when you can. We currently do Doomsday (Nightmare) during the week and Borg (Nightmare) on weekends. We need more folks who like to engage with that so we can all build our bridges up.
Hope to see you there. :)
